Thoughts on Vader in Obi-Wan series ? How he was portrayed and etc.
Now that the show is over, I can say with absolute honesty, that I LOVED the portrayal of Vadar/Anakin.
This is the Vadar that I have wanted for so many years. The Vadar that terrorized the Galaxy. The Original Trilogy (which I love and adore) didn't really convey that, and the prequels did a speed run through Anakin's fall to the Dark Side, so much so that I don't think we had enough time or space (with everything else going on in those movies) to filly appreciate it.
But this?
Vadar a full decade after the fall of the Jedi, where he has found his place in the new Galactic Order, where we saw him march through a town, killing citizens at random to lure out Obi-Wan, or when he single-handedly ripped a ship out of the sky with the Force and tore it apart like it was nothing. His fight scenes showcased not just his brutality and power (Obi-Wan), but his cunning and patience, as well (Reva).
I also loved all the actors that were used in unison to bring this version of Vadar to life. I loved Hayden getting his Hot Girl Summer and being able to reprise a role that he was unfairly criticized for. I loved that James Earl Jones came back, because NO ONE should ever voice that character. And I loved Dmitrious Bistrevsky, the stunt performer who portrayed Vadar in the full suit for the fight scenes. All three of these performances brought this character together in a way we haven't seen before and I fear we won't see again.
