can i just say that im actually really pissed? that episode was such a fucking trainwreck it didnt do noiz any justice and i honestly hate the way theyre going about the anime
im not sure what i was expecting? but it sure as fuck was not this
what the fuck like noiz wasnt even supposed to be there? he just happened to be sent an invitation?? and even just the little stuff got to me like hes supposed to refuse aobas treatment at first!!!!!!! and leave!! to do it alone and then it means something when he lets aoba treat him. and they did such a half assed job at his backstory. i cant recall exactly because i was kind of furious at this point, and please correct me if im wrong, but i dont remember them saying anything about noiz being locked up?? i think they nmentioned that his parents saw him as a burden and wanted to lock him up. did they mention how he was locked in his own home by his own parents for years when he was only a child that seriously did not know any better because he couldnt grasp the concept of pain. and instead of helping him through it at his young age and treating him like a human being, they locked up their son because he was "ruining the family name"
so much of it was disconnected and left out and im. completely mindblown that everyone ive seen has been in full approval of the episode because i feel like it gave the wrong impression of noiz. he had barely any character development and everything was so sloppily put together that i could barely comprehend it
they barely even talked about his inability to feel pain very much and then when he got it back it was so just. not good. and then aoba carried him? but in game doesnt noiz carry aoba out of the oval tower. i know that the oval tower shit hasnt happened yet with their current setup but the whole point was that noiz was feeling real physical pain (and a lot of it too) for the first time, and he STILL found it priority to get aoba out of the building
the whole noiz thinking everyone only does things to gain something thing. they totally did not cover that
in game he was very unable to understand why aoba would even bother helping him out if he didnt have some kind of ulterior motive, and then as the game progresses he understands that not everyone in the world is as bad as the people he's known, that aoba isnt a bad person, and im just
im pissed. im so absolutely incredibly upset by this
noiz is my favorite character and up until this point i had been so happy that they were gonna animate him and i could see him develop in a different format with so much potential
