22 - Give us a (brief, or not) history lesson of your OC

Buckle up, pal 🫡

- Born and raised in Austin, Texas. Second child to a loving family, he was very close to his older sister, Amanda. His grandmother on his mother’s side was French, and living in Morbihan (part of Brittany), where Nate spent a lot of summers

- Always a popular kid, friend with everyone. He used to play soccer in high school and hanged out with the cliché clique of jocks™️ but he wasn’t much of a douchebag (yet)

- Always knew he was gay, never even kissed a girl

- He participated in several youth army camps and enlisted the day he turned 18. A pure product of the propaganda turned into a complete jarhead

- Sent to Anchorage, he was power armor trained. There, he and the other guys in his team suffered a landmine accident. Nate was the only one to make it out, barely alive, and almost burned to death in his PA. He’s subject to PTSD ever since and became an alcoholic shortly after he was discharged from the army

- He didn’t care about being alive or dead, so when he woke up in Vault 111, he just basically rolled with it (and kept drinking, so much)

- Hanged around the Commonwealth for roughly six months before he heard about Nuka-World and its Gauntlet. He thought "Why not? Either I have fun, or I finally die." He completed the Gauntlet and became Overboss

- NW became everything to him and he eventually found back the will to live thanks to his new people

- He’s been Overboss for two years when he was forced to meet with the Brotherhood of Steel. The rest is history ✨

7 - Are they a scavver/pick up everything (much to the annoyance of almost everyone)?

Nate used to be like that, before becoming Overboss and settling in Nuka-World. He used to take with him anything that could prove useful to mod his weapons or make his pieces of armor sturdier.

Now, he’s way too rich to bother about acting like a scavenger.

13 - What pre-war thing do they miss the most/what pre-war thing in magazines looks the most interesting to them?

He was a complete jock, and he misses his favorite sports: soccer and mostly motocross. If it wasn’t for the army, he would have probably become a professional motocross racer (or a model, per his words).

14 - What are their hobbies?

Pre-war: motocross, soccer, mechanics, reading poetry, being an overall pain in the ass.

Post-war: Weapons modding, cooking, being an overall pain in the ass.

3 - Do they befriend all the companions (or try to)?

Oh boy no he doesn’t, there’s a few he actually hates to the core (Preston, sweetie I’m so sorry), doesn’t give a fuck about (Curie, Mac, sweeties I’m so sorry)

B u t he loves Gage to the moon and back, his best friend 💚

He has a great relationship with Hancock, even tho they don’t see each others as much as they used too (hey, being an overboss or a mayor is very time consuming)

He’s obsessed with X6-88, honestly. If Arthur wasn’t in the picture, Nate would be all over X6

9 - Lone Wanderer or always with a companion (or more)?

Most of the time with Gage, Mags Black or X6-88, and always with his mongrel dog, Hazmat 💚

30 - Dealers Choice.

Since there’s no question, I’ll just put random facts about this disastrous human being:

He used to be on several military calendars (yes, those dirty ones)

Has killed several people for a Limp Bizkit holotape (and will do it again)

Came out as gay when he was fifteen during a family dinner and told everyone to suck his dick if that was a problem (it wasn’t a problem, except his fucking language)

Can find his way with the position of the stars in the night sky

Can’t place 98% of the United States on a map (Texas, Massachusetts and California are fine, Florida is on thin ice) BUT, somehow, can read a map to find his way

Speaking of Texas: still has a faint accent from it

Cleaning freak, dust killer, stain eradicator

Will kill you for thinking he’s not pretty

His combat knife, that he called "Lame", which means ‘blade’ in French (he knows it’s a shit ass name in English but hey, why would he care?) and his rifle, Overseer’s Guardian

20 - What is their favorite and least favorite foods?

He’ll always say yes to some mirelurk, and he cooks it very well. On the other hand, deathclaw meat will make him sick for days

28 - Does your OC have a main home?

The Fizztop Grille, and especially its patio ⛰️

“Isn’t Cait waiting for you?” Nate frowned as he threw the rag back on the floor. “Maybe.” “Being late isn’t like you.” The wrench rattled against the floor when Nate picked it up. He placed its jaws around a bolt and started to untighten it. “I like watching you work on that thing, it’s interesting,” Arthur cleared his throat. “And that’s hot.” Nate’s smile broadened and he shifted, still crouching, towards Arthur. He tilted his head to the side, eyes shining with a playfulness that betrayed how his heart missed a beat.  “Am I?” He purred. “You are, despite all that grease you’ve covered yourself with.”
