Soooo the little Alurox Silver oneshot wip is the result of me pondering on ways for them to mess around with pain play, etc., while managing the fact that any pain on vampires like olrox probably doesn't often last long enough to actually have fun with. And one idea was the possibility of using vampiric weaknesses like silver to make up for it - but then I had the absolute train-to-the-chest thought of, wait, but hold on, vampires may be repelled by silver but also the spanish in mexico mined out huge amounts of silver as part of the colonisation and hoooly shit the bitter pain of olrox being made a vampire and allergic to silver by a conquistador and the spanish later mining and exploiting his home for that same silver. god. god. And that somewhat derailed the initial smut idea!
The fic itself is of right after alucard and olrox have been fucking. It's a nice easy afterglow, until alucard, who's musing on ways to make the impact and pain play that they just tried actually stick on vampirically-regenerating olrox, tosses out the idea of using silver in some way. And olrox is thrown right back to memories of being a young vampire as the first silver mines were run/set up by the spanish and the air being so heavy with silver that he can do nothing to help, and his response to Alucard is essentially "yeah, absolutely not".
