In meinem Heimatbezirk Tower Hamlets machen Bangladescher fast ein Drittel der Bevölkerung aus – deutlich mehr als der Anteil in ganz London (3 %) oder England (< 1 %). Hat er die Geschichte bekommen, nach der er sich sehnte? Leider ist Peter zu 99,9 % Europäer und nur zu 0,1 % nicht zugeordnet. Ich wies darauf hin, dass sein europäischer Anteil 6 % Skandinavier enthält, woraufhin er munter wurde und anfing, sich einen Wikinger zu nennen. It’s been a long time now I’ve been so curious as to where my families stem from.  I would love to know for myself of course, but also for my kids. I am a second - generation immigrant and my parents come from central American countries, Costa Rica and Honduras. My mother’s side of the family seems to be of mestizo or mostly European descent just due to obvious physical features. My father however is dark skinned with more indigenous or afro Latino like features and his siblings look similar, but admittingly they all have different fathers...so finding out where his bloodline stems from is what I’m the most curious about. I’m looking into DNA test kits currently and which ones would work best for me. Also, doing a lot of research on the history of the peoples that inhabited those regions around the 15-18th+ centuries.
