I will keep on saying this: If the mass deportations of Black and Brown people was considered racist under Trump, it doesn’t magically stop being racist just because a Democrat™ is doing it now. The silence from “allies” who were screaming bloody murder about immigration abuses under Trump is as deafening as it is hypocritical.

And I will keep saying this too: Abolish ICE. ICE is beyond “reforming.” And prosecute ICE and Border Patrol agents who commit human rights abuses.

It’s funny how, when Trump was in the White House, liberals feigned concern for immigrants and asylum seekers crossing the southern border, but now that Biden is president, back-to-brunch liberals pulled a 180 and are boasting about how many Brown people Biden has caught at the boarder. 🙄

Another case of, “bad when they do it, but good understandable and excusable when we do it,” hypocrisy.

This is another reminder that it is policies that really matter. What was it Malcolm X once said? “You’re not supposed to be so blind with patriotism that you can’t face reality. Wrong is wrong, no matter who does it or who says it.”

ICE still isn’t being held accountable for carrying out forced sterilization against women detainees. The Department of Homeland Security and the Border Patrol still haven’t been held accountable for harassing peaceful protesters and whipping Haitian asylum seekers like runaway slaves. Biden is still using Trump’s racist Title 42 to mass deport Haitians. Biden is giving far more discretionary funding to racist police forces than any of his predecessors ever did. “Outraged” news outlets have lost interest in reporting on these human rights abuses like they did under Trump, and liberals have gone back to brunch, just like they said they would. Nothing has changed. This is why it’s so hard for people to take Democrats seriously; especially when they pay lip service about “reforming” the system. State entities like Homeland Security and ICE are so thoroughly racist that they cannot be reformed, and they aren’t safe in Republicans nor in Democratic hands.

Title 42 is a racist policy created during the Trump administration, and Biden is suing to keep using it.

A reminder that:

The Biden administration is mass deporting pregnant women, and young children under the age of three.

Haiti is still reeling from another devastating earthquake, a presidential assassination that has caused political turmoil, and yes, some coronavirus outbreaks (because Western nations are hoarding the vaccines, and Haiti just suffered a massive earthquake and political turmoil).

Many of these asylum seekers and refugees are not being given a chance to have asylum hearings—they are being rounded up and summarily deported.

Two or three times a week during the NFL football season, we are quite literally having sold out football games at packed stadiums that hold more than 60 thousand, unmasked, untested football fans, a great many of whom get super angry if anyone takes a knee during the national anthem. If we are allowing them to congregate without any concerns about spreading COVID, then nobody should be concern trolling refugees who are desperate to escape disaster in hope of a better life. If that was the true concern—it isn’t—then we could simply screen refugees for signs of COVID, which is far more than we’re doing to every American antivaxxer hellbent on internationally spreading disease.

During his campaign, Biden once said that all ICE needed was to be trained a little better.

Sorry, but there is no “reforming” an agency that uses whips to beat fleeing Black people. There is no “retraining” an agency that has forcibly sterilized asylum seekers, either without their consent or against their will. ICE and the Border Patrol need to be abolished.

This policy is deeply racist, no matter how many nice white liberals or smiling Black Democratic politicians try to convince you otherwise. So if you were angered by mass deportations under Trump, then you should still be mad. Biden is literally using the exact same racist policy and reasoning that Trump used. It doesn’t magically stop being racist just because a Democrat™ is doing it now.

ICE and the Border Patrol are institutionally racist, misogynistic and corrupt. They are beyond “fixing.”

I’m seeing far too many liberals using precisely the same anti-immigration arguments that Republicans used when Trump was in office. It’s a bit more subtle, but they’re the same racist arguments, polished up and retreaded for liberals. Please don’t be a, “I’m only mad about racism when Republicans do it,” faux progressive. Okay?? Don’t be a “back to brunch” liberal, because “orange man gone.” Bad shit is still happening to people who have a right to seek asylum. This isn’t about political parties. It’s supposed to be about helping our fellow human beings who desperately need our compassion and our help.

Neoliberals were rightfully performatively enraged when Trump enacted his racist Title 42 policy, but they want us to believe it’s somehow a different story now, when Biden does the exact same thing.

Biden is fundamentally altering the asylum seeking process so that it favors European refugees and asylum seekers, while punishing people from Haiti, Mexico and South & Central America.

To be clear: This is an unequal and deeply racist policy.

Additionally, blocking non-European asylum seekers does not and has never had anything to do with the evergreen, conveniently racist trope of “refugees bringing diseases.” That was racist when Trump did it, and it’s still racist when mainstream media and the Biden administration echo those exact same sentiments—if it were at all true, Biden wouldn’t have relaxed the Title 42 restrictions for Ukrainian war refugees, even as he was turning away thousands and thousands of Haitian war refugees.

Liberals told us, don’t worry they would push Biden left after the election. But they just went back to brunch, and now they’re the hypocritical sycophants telling us that we are “hurting” Biden by holding him accountable and reminding him of all his broken campaign promises.

Make no mistake: this is Biden tracking to the right before an election. He’s seeking the votes of “moderates” (aka slightly less racist Republicans) by showing that he can be every bit as tough on non-white immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers as any Republican. The only problem here is, Republicans are tracking Right and so are Democrats… so until this dynamic changes, it means we will always shift ever rightward on our immigration policies.

This is racist and it is wrong.

Kamala Harris looked squarely into the camera, did her best Hillary Clinton impression, and very resolutely said, “FUCK YOU.” People are fleeing Guatemala and Central America largely because of disastrous U.S. backed policies, and now all Kamala Harris has to say is, “fuck them kids.”

I know, I know ….. somehow it’s different when Democrats do it, right? 🙄 Right? 😒

And by the way, those kids in cages that blue MAGA cultists pretended to care about? They’re still being held in cages. You know, the cages constructed under the Obama administration? The Biden administration has a “kinder” and “more gentler” policy of screwing over immigrants and asylum seekers.

Anyway, this is a great example of putting a black face on white policy, so that it seems more fair.

The funny thing is, by couching Biden’s racist ass policy in bullshit “safety concerns,” tons of liberals who would’ve instantly hated the exact same policy under Trump? They will eat this racist paternalism up—and never question it. I would like to point out that history is replete with policies that America has cloaked under the blanket of “safety concerns” for the very people that the racist policies perniciously target, and harm.

Think about some of the dangers these people are fleeing. Rape. Torture. Gang violence. Crippling poverty. Political persecution—all problems that were often created by U.S. policies to begin with. You think desperate asylum seekers don’t know how dangerous the journey is?? They do. And even knowing those dangers, they weighed the possible outcomes and STILL decided to take the risk. Contrary to popular belief, immigrants and asylum seekers are every bit as intelligent as American citizens. Probably moreso, actually. Asylum seekers are not uninformed. Stop infantalizing them. They are not childlike, empty-headed people who need liberals or Kamala Harris to tell them how dangerous the risk is. They know how dangerous the trek is. They know it now, just like they knew how dangerous it was when Trump was in the White House. Nothing has changed except for who occupies the White House. If turning away migrants and asylum seekers was wrong under Trump (and yes, it was), then it is still wrong now. The only difference is, Trump’s “southern border” policy was nakedly racist, but the Biden administration isn’t quite as overt. They patronizingly claim to be concerned with the safety of asylum seekers, but in too many ways, Biden’s border policy is similar to Trump’s. And before anyone tries to “better than Trump” me to death, please remember that the Biden administration is filling immigration courts with Trump appointees. And to my knowledge, Joe Biden still has not gotten around to firing Sebastian Gorka, the neo-Nazi who Donald Trump appointed to the 14-member National Security Education Board. (source) (source)
