A little break from ArtFight pics to reconnect with the boy! I was rewatching Wolfwalkers while drawing and I wanted to draw Ed in the style of the movie. I think it's a pretty solid attempt at mimicing the style. Obviously the clothes don't fit the movie, but, I like how his design translated pretty well.
OUR AVERNUS GROUP IS BACK TOGETHER
our session was a roller coaster of emotions but highlight is that Ed confessed his feelings for our group's warlock, Lamia and it was good and wholesome and a longtime coming
Haven’t posted art in literally forever but here’s Ed!
We’ve moved on to Descent into Avernus, Ed’s a few levels higher and has a new hairstyle and a new sword!
He bought Ironclad from a mysterious hag on the boat to Baldur’s Gate, not realizing what he’d just attuned to. Ironclad has a sentience of sorts, and it demands justice brought to wicked people. In combat he can use his own life force to hit harder with it, which has begun to scar his hands and arms.
(It’s a +2 greatsword that on a critical hit allows it’s user to add one d10 per Strength modifier add that damage, while simultaneously taking the same, lowering their max hp by that amount until the next long rest)
Ironclad was described to me as a sword made out of black, hammered iron with blue gemstones in its handle, and this is what I pictured!
Some doodles of DnD Ed, who’s turning out to be far more fun than I’d ever imagined to play. He’s disarmingly sweet, fiercely protective and an absolute baby.
Second picture is of Ed’s hands as they scar from using his magic sword.
Third picture is Ed and the Warlock dancing very poorly at a fancy gala that the Flaming Fist held; we mentioned off handedly that Ed and Lamia danced together and I drew it.
1st draft for a new look for ed as we gear up to start descent in to avernus
mad max boooyyysssss
DnD Eds fave food vs Fallout Eds fave food (pre or post war up to you) vs OG zombie Eds fave food. Reithes fave place to visit? Abbie's fave color? The best memory Abbie ever ate? And... let's do Haddal's most complicated map?
DnD Ed’s favorite food would be a simple venison or mutton stew. Hearty, filling and warming with a dash of tasting like home. Serve with a mug of ale and freshly baked bread and he’s as content as he can be.
Fallout Ed’s (post war) favorite food would be the times he can get vegetables fresh from a garden. It reminds him the world is still here and thriving and it makes him hope.
Zombie Ed can’t actually eat or taste, but he loves the smell of fresh coffee and the warmth of it in his hands. He’ll get cups to just hold and smell.
Reithe will claim his favorite place in the world is this hot spring place where the crew stops on occasion to drink and relax. They have fun, shoot the shit and laugh as friends. It’s his favorite place to visit because it always reminds him why he loves his friends. In his heart his favorite spot in the world was the roof of the house he grew up in, where he would often sit up late at night and watch the ocean with his dingy telescope, thinking of all the potential there was in the world, this is a memory he often revisits as he grips the steering wheel of the Apocalypse and he can only dream of the adventures ahead.
Abbie’s favorite color is red. But only as an accent color.
The best memory they ever consumed was from a drow whose ship they boarded. An older fellow who’d had everything but thrown it all away when she fell in love with an Illithid, and she left her family to be with them. Their affair was one of intense feelings and passion and liberation. Those feelings lingered for a long time in Abbie and they often think about them fondly.
Haddal’s professional maps are clean and informative, he prides himself in that fact. But as a hobby and practice, he draws more elaborate maps of everyday things and locations, and the most detailed map is of the Apocalypse that maps out every scuff and detail and functions more like an elaborate journal of life on board. His most detailed professional map is the map containing the locations of smugglers dens, it has information about sail-ins, what rocks in the distance to line up for a safe approach.
28. Would they date a fixer-upper?
*Asking any and all of them, because why ask just one?* XD
Ed: Absolutely, he has so much love inside him that he is capable of loving almost anyone! Someone who needs a bit more of a gentle approach only needs more love. While he gets sad on occasion, he’s a pretty stable pillar in anyone’s life.
Abbie: Yes, and would be more likely to start a longer relationship with someone they feel comfortable sharing their own weaknesses and worries with.
Murdoch: No, she has enough understanding of herself that she knows whoever she chooses for a partner needs to be a stable influence in her life because she knows she’s already the fixer-upper in that relationship.
Rissk: No, Rissk would primarily be looking for a hunting partner and equal in martial prowess, as is lizardfolk culture, and would want you to have your shit sorted out before attempting to court her.
Rukla: Is 16 and I don’t think of her as dateable, but she’s definitely at risk of giving up too much of herself to help others, so yes, she would!
