something that i find interesting about independent animation nowadays is that if you don't have studio/streamer backing, you have to release your work yourself on the internet, but you have to do it for free on the internet because virtually nobody is going to be willing to accept a paywall just for one original show, so what you have to do in order to make any money off of it is make all of your money from merchandising, but then this means that you show must be merchandisable and have very toyetic character designs that translate easily to plushies and whatnot, but then you also need to cater your show to people who are disproportionately inclined to buy merchandise like that in the first place so that your sales can be enough to sustain you, which means that even if you want to communicate complex or difficult ideas in your work, your independent animation project must attract (at least on a first impression) and retain viewers who are both very consumerist and very capable of rabid passion, which unfortunately has a single-circle shaped venn diagram with a lot of the most toxic fandom tendencies known to man, and this explains a lot of things about independent animation and its fandoms nowadays I think

Thinking about post-game Zern when he’s older and an established expert in his field of archeology and sometimes goes to Strixhaven as a guest lecturer, here he’s giving a lecture on the nature of the daemogoth as he’s the foremost expert on the subject.

I like thinking of him using all his four arms and as he gets older he gets more fluid between his forms and you often see him with four arms because it’s practical.

Reciprocal: you were there for me when I needed help, and I’m going to do the same for you, it doesn’t matter if one of us needs more or is capable of less, because the point is not equivalent exchange but mutual care

The Mhildrasi family legacy trickling down from great-grandfather Mïldor, to his son Fuhaudil, to his daughter Zelaria and to his grandson Zern. I love Mïldor, what a piece of shit.

Mïldor needles Fuhaudil to purposefully break him, Fuhaudil in turn learns to never show cracks and keeps his daughter Zelaria (Zerns mother) close to him, never allowing her to be her own person and weighs down Zern with impossible expectations.

This is Mïldor wanting to leave a lasting impression on the family and securing a form of immortality.

I just don’t think emotionally abusing your child was the move.

I’m watching my friend play through Patapon 2 and was possessed to draw a million patapons and made a couple of patapon ocs

They’re SO fun to draw they’re just little guys

So far we have; Limpon the Deathless, a patapon hero whose hat is broken and it’s rumored this means he cannot be brought back if he dies, but he’s never met defeat. Rompon, Patapolis quartermaster who’s maybe a little smarter than they should be, and they question whether or not the Allmighty Patapon understands basic economics. Last is Ban and Ton, the two gravediggers who bring back dead patapon, they’re both chill as hell and mostly sit around and smoke between sieges, content that they have one of the most important jobs in Patapolis. They do not understand why Rompon is so cynical.

I want Portents pocket watch to be her spellbook and her inscribing spells into it is her tuning it into specific temporal frequencies and moments in time. This is a lot of math. She likes math. The setting she’s in has very little magic in terms of casters so she’s stuck relying on her knowledge as a time scientist before dying. I wanted to visualize what it looked like and think this pose is super cute
