ok what if

a running joke was that no one in-universe knows who Realgar’s patron is

cause i ask “is curse of strahd canon in this universe” to each LFG i think i would mesh well with, and if they say yes then ok her patron is strahd. if they say no, usually it’s because it’s forgotten realms and they don’t want to cross ravenloft with it so im like “ok is bg3 canon? cause if so. ascendarion” and while i haven’t gotten double no’s yet, my backup patrons have been various archliches and the thought “lol what if it was beckett”

until i realized!!

i can make it so that some people don’t believe her when she says who her patron is. others can be like “never heard of him so he can’t be that important” or there’s just so many rumors about who her patron is that she doesn’t bother trying to dispel them
