DNF Vlogmas
Day two: movie night
<<Previous
"Almost ready?" Dream calls from out in the hallway, his voice getting closer. "I have some snacks."
"Not too much I hope," George makes the final adjustments on his setup. "This stream isn't going to be about snacks."
"No reason why we can't do both," Dream explains, walking into the movie room. His wide arms are full of what George thinks is probably the entire holiday candy and snack aisle from Target. George shakes his head, but can't help the fond smile that works its way onto his lips.
"Dream," he walks over, giggling, and removes a box of holiday themed Skittles from the pile. "How many different kinds of Hershey kisses are there in here?"
"Five I think," Dream adjusts his arms. "I couldn't decide."
"You don't even like chocolate though," George removes a green bag of Grinch themed ones, examines them and tosses the bag onto a nearby chair.
"Well, yeah," Dream unloads the rest of his haul, then pulls George close. "I got them for you, silly."
George blushes, but sinks into the embrace, enjoying it as much as he can. Once the stream starts, he'll need to be careful, even though he knows their fans would love to see some cuddling on stream. He's just not ready to share that quite yet.
For now, he wants Dream, his cuddles and his kisses all to himself.
Dream gives him a quick kiss on the cheek that makes George wrinkle his nose in mock disgust. "Ready?" He kisses the other cheek.
"If you stop kissing me, yes," George says, but then leans in and kisses Dream on the cheek, just because he can.
Dream blinks rapidly, the way he always does when his brain short-circuits. It's adorable.
Once Dream comes to his senses, George sits in one of the chairs and checks the equipment one last time. He gives Dream a thumbs up, which Dream parrots back to him.
"Hello everyone!" George says into his portable mic. "We're trying something new this year. I'm sure some of you have heard of this thing called vlogmas. We'll, this is my attempt at it ."
"Our attempt at it," Dream corrects, smiling as he sits next to George. "Sapnap will be joining us too, but today he's busy playing Valorant, so it's just us, right George?"
"Yep, just us," George smiles back. He knows chat is probably clocking his Dream smile, so he makes a face and gives Dream a playful nudge. "I don't know if I'll be able to stream or post a video every day, but I'll try, and Dream is going to help me. Right, Dream?"
"I guess," he says, rolling his eyes like it's such an inconvenience. George knows the truth though, that Dream is too much of a simp to ever refuse him.
"Anyway," George leans forward and taps a few keys on his laptop to pull up a familiar grid with colored boxes on the left side. "Tonight we're going to rank Christmas shows and movies."
"And we're starting with my all time favorite," Dream begins. "The Grinch."
"Hmm," George taps a finger on his chin. "I don't know, Dream. I get that it's your favorite, but it's kind of mid. I'd say C tier at the most."
"C tier??" Dream puts his hand over George's to move the mouse up on the screen. "You know it belongs on A tier at minimum."
"Then how about we make it a B tier?" George offers.
"High B tier."
"Ok, I guess that's fair." George clicks on that line, then takes another look at his list. "Next up, my personal favorite, Love Actually."
"F tier," Dream teases.
George glares at him, and snatches the mouse away. "Take that back."
"Only if you admit that the Grinch is S tier."
George flicks his gaze between the camera and Dream, then sighs and places the mouse back on the table. He clicks on each icon in turn, dragging them up to the top of the screen "Okay, you win."
Dream smiles, smug with satisfaction, then picks up George's phone to look at the next movie on the list. He holds it up to George, who can't help smiling at it and the wave of nostalgia it brings.
He gives Dream a nudge, and without a word, Dream places "Frosty the Snowman" on A tier.
An hour later, the tier list is full, and the stream is winding down while they snack on the candy Dream brought. Every few seconds, George glances in Dream's direction and takes in the contagious joy on his face.
He's so glad Dream suggested this, and he can't wait to do more tomorrow.
