🌹 Where in the world does your OC feel most at home? Is there any reason why? If it’s not the place they were born, where were they born? Is there a certain somebody that makes them feel at home where ever they may be? What does home mean to them?

D'nou: d'nou feels most at home in his actual home, because its been painted to hell and back with so much art over the years that its become incredibly personal and meaningful. he was technically born elsewhere but was adopted v shortly after his birth so its whatever. currently only his mother makes him feel at home wherever he may be, but that could change over time. home means a place to express himself freely and without judgement or restraint

Baru: Baru. uh. doesn't know where he feels most at home anymore. his actual home is closest because his kids are there but its also like. that was the house he shared with his dead husband so its. ouchie. he was actually born up north, though in a different place than eiselcross. he very much does not view that place as home. he feels most at home with his kids, and home means the family he's made for himself 100%.

D'nou: d'nou is just. so so so incredibly sweet and passionate. he confronts everything with his whole heart and is so good and tries to always learn and do better and he cares very deeply about those around him. and he's Fine As Hell

Baru: baru is incredibly caring and loyal as a father, and constantly works to make sure everyone is living true to themselves and is able to be honest with themselves and others about who they are and what they want. hes gone through a lot but never stops caring about others and wanting whats best for them and has the experience to help others do so. and he's Fine As Hell

💫What is your favourite fact about this character and why?

D'nou: d'nou has slept with the most canon CR characters- im joking. my favorite fact about d'nou is that he always has the most batshit reactions to stress because theyre always fun to play. when he's stressed he either: laughs like a maniac, instantly latches onto another person like theyre his soulmate, paints a bunch of brooding angsty portraits and then GIVES THEM TO THE PEOPLE THEYRE of, etc. he's just. very casually insane when stressed and its fun to play

Baru: his fucking. championship belt being a belt of hill giant strength. ill never get over it its the smartest decision ive ever made. plus him constantly wearing it says so much about his character through design alone

💦 If you as the writer could erase one traumatic event from this OC’s life what would it be and why?

well. as a general here. i should say that, as a writer, i would never remove a character's trauma because that trauma is an essential part of what makes them who they are, whether it be the consequences of that trauma or the thought process leading to the trauma. but if you want answers. d'nou: probably stabbing himself during the death trial. he didnt even die by his own sword. what the hell. not worth it whatsoever

baru: ophelia dying. she's like an adoptive daughter to him he wants her Healthy

d'nou is a gnoll. he laughs a lot. when he's happy he laughs. when he's anxious he laughs. when he's scared he laughs. hes also generally a fan of stupid jokes (if the one joking knows how stupid they are)

29. what feelings do they internalize?

d'nou never ever wants to be a burden on someone he cares about and it physically hurts him to feel like he is one so. he will internalize a lot as long as he thinks it isnt making him a burden. he's aware enough to know some people are fine talking about these things or can end up blinded by things hes focused on and not give his mind the chance to worry he's being a burden

48. do they relate to anyone in their group? conversely, which person do they relate to the least?

hmmm..... i think to D'nou, he definitely relates to everyone in the group and can see things they have in common, but. he would probably be the first to admit that the person he relates to the least is nev. theyre very different people, but d'nou enjoys that and looks to nev as someone to learn from!

nope! tarus lives in the woods, firstly, and secondly, Tarus is very much a.... My Body Is A Temple kind of person even if thats not immediately apparent. he feels no inclination whatsoever to alter his body in any way beyond wildshapes and would probably get upset if someone tried to get him to get a tattoo or piercing

43. how much do they know about the world they live in?

absolutely fuck all. tarus knows extensive knowledge about exactly one location and then knows pretty much nothing else beyond it. for most of his life nothing mattered except the gardens, why bother learning about it?

3. can they accept failure?

d'nou can accept failure, yeah. all part of learning and growing. hes not a big fan of it and after the hell dungeon is far more anxious about failing someone but otherwise. its fine. Baru as well.... he had a uh. long period of failures. which he now looks back on with a lot of sorrow. but ultimately it largely depends on what is failing. if its most things he can deal. if it relates to his family or his career he might start crying

5. is there something they want to be known for?

i think both of them just want to be generally.... known. its part of the whole glory paladin thing. dnou wants to be known as a hero, baru wants to be known as a champion, but as long as they are touching other lives and inspiring others. thats the ideal

23. in what moment did they consider themselves to be “grown up”?

for d'nou... sitting down with vic and telling him that vic needs to get better and that d'nou needs to not care about him so much. knowing he needs distance from vic and pulling himself away is for the best and he realized it was a real grown up decision for the first time.

baru considered himself grown up the first time he became champion, and then felt like he had never grown up at all after glade died, and went back to feeling like a grown up when he started working with mister.

42. can they dance?

d'nou can absolutely dance. he's got aura of alacrity plus a lither build plus a healthy appetite for learning new things. he thinks dance can be a fun form of exercise AND help him. well. be charming.

baru dances like a dad at a cookout and is an absolute fucking embarrassment to be seen dancing with and he relishes that

4. what was their favorite object/thing to play with as a child? and/or what is their favorite childhood memory? D'nou: when dnou was a baby he had a HUGE teething problem so his mom got him a wooden horse made out of the toughest wood she could get and he looks really fondly back on it because of how much he carried it around as a kid

Tarus: tarus didnt really have a lot of toys growing because. you know. so he was largely encouraged to just play outside. one of his earliest memories is of sitting there and letting some fire ants crawl all over him and not getting bitten

12. if your character went through a corruption arc, would their class/subclass change? if it would, what would it now be? (if your character is fucked up, answer this but for a redemption arc instead!) D'nou: depends! dnou doesnt really. have a lot of avenues for corruption arcs. but one i considered in case there was some reveal that it was actually desirat and not raei dnou was connected to, id prolly go fiend warlock multiclass. otherwise prolly not really

Tarus: tarus' subclass would not change in either direction lets be honest with ourselves

35. describe their bedroom, if theyve had one at any point in time (if not, where do they feel safest to sleep?) D'nou: weve already got descriptions for Mansion bedrooms, but the room d'nou had growing up was pretty small and all his furniture had been painted on by himself, including the walls. like looking at his walls you could trace his artistic growth from like. standard kid drawing a sun and flowers shit to more complex landscape work, phoenixes, etc

Tarus: tarus' childhood bedroom was also small and undecorated, with mostly just. religious books about his god in a bookcase and not much else. he wasnt expected to stay in there a lot of the time. as for the present, its less of a bedroom and more of like.... a cave he's renovated into smth livable. its a big cave that branches into smaller pockets where he lives with his kids. he has meetings in a clearing outside of it, with his throne forged out of a large tree stump

Kiki. is a bit of an egomaniac. but his powers are easily the quality he thinks are the best of him

19. have they ever been in love? D'nou: yes!!!! this bitch falls in love easily!!!!!! he loved olomon and he is beginning to love vic. if only vic werent Like That

Kiki: no lol. he didnt know anybody besides his father for like 20 years he doesnt know what love is and certainly isnt in love

21. without revealing any secrets, how much of your character’s backstory does the rest of your party know about? 20%? 75%? 0%? D'nou: 90%, with an extra 9% for anthe. he doesnt have much complicated things in his backstory!

Kiki: 10%, and then an extra 70% for yew. yeah. yew got a huge loredump the rest of the party has not even touched. because it reveals kiki's a Nightmare

34. pick a character that they know. what is something that they do that your character finds charming/endearing? D'nou: he thinks very highly of anthe's observational skills and ability to pick up on what others are feeling even when they cant, and it only got higher after she revealed she is aware of what d'nou complained about and is working on

Kiki: ive said it before and ill say it again: kiki enjoys when people are Weird and Unusual. hence why kiki enjoys yew's presence so much. and also a reason kiki doesnt wanna kill strahd: strahd enjoys a very unique position in barovia and has a lot of unique qualities that Fascinate kiki, along with his ability to help kiki understand and use his powers more

1. what is their coffee shop order? hi. its me, nye. i dont drink coffee. these r estimations from hearsay of how other ppl order coffee D'nou: Incredibly sugary coffee with a shot of cinnamon. Will cry if you give him decaf.

N01-R: cant fucking drink

Baru: decaf with light cream. used to get caffeinated black coffee but glade got him to be a bit healthier

2: what is their favourite article of clothing that they own? D'nou: This is cheating but its absolutely his Raei holy symbol. Emotional Support Pendant and also he is a big fan of the artistic design of the pendant and the amount of effort that took to make it

N01-R: the scarf. its the only clothes they own that are truly "theirs" but they have. complicated feelings about it

Baru: i dont think baru has cared about how well his outfits go together in any circumstance other than during his matches. so im going to go for the cheap answer and say his tux from his wedding

3. would/do they know how to drive a car? are they/would they be good at it? D'nou: absolutely knows how to drive a car. he's good at it but he thinks the speed limit is a suggestion

N01-R: knows how to drive a car! def wouldve been one of the things uploaded to their database, so. they know how to do it the most legal way possible

Baru: knows how to drive but is NOT good at it lmao. old man and not even one who likes cars

D'nou: neck fur + rolls. #just gnoll things

N01-R: N01 shares a model with a bunch of other robots but they have an ability to reprogram the LEDs in their bodies to make them appear different colors or change colors

Baru: idk man hes a big old wolf man. probably that
