Very interesting lecture from Bill Drummond on recorded music being dead. Be warned that when he says that he doesn’t want recordings made, he means it. There are no musical samples in this lecture. In a way, this seems like a continuation and moving forward of some of John Cage’s ideas. What is music? I do think that the audience participation is a great thing. He certainly makes you contemplate how you interact with music and your devices.
