This is one instance where a quote from a book resonates so strongly with me it physically hurts.

So what happened to the movie adaptation? It’s been over 7 years since the book came out and just a little less time since they confirmed a movie, so where the hell is it? I swear if Strange The Dreamer gets a movie before DoSaB I’m going to be livid. I just want my blue haired baby and her angelic love to hit the big screen is that so much to ask?

My Opinion:

I didn’t like this one as much as the first one, but still an amazing read, once again the writing was phenomenal!

Much less of a focus on the love story, like barely any focus on it, which I didn’t love

Why do dystopian series always make the girl MC bite her tongue and do whatever the asshole leader of the rebellion says when she knows they’re wrong and they need her so she actually has so much power? It makes me start to dislike the character a bit.

So much amazing character development, especially with side characters! Zuzana and Mik were too damn cute! And I love Ziri and Akiva’s siblings!

There were a ton of tiny little twists and turns that had me freaking out and it PERFECTLY set up for an epic final book!
