Out of Hand Shit

I'm sick of seeing pictures of women always showing their asses. AS IF that is the ABSOLUTE and only asset they have, AS IF there is nothing else about them, remotely interesting, worthy of attention, other than their FAT ASS -- Seriously women, please STOP doing this dumb shit. There is more to you than just your ASS and TITS. What about showing that fantastic credit score, the fact that all your bills get paid on time, you own your own home, or have your own apartment, you are a good parent, good friend, Best friend, outstanding cook, baker, you graduated from school with your GED, AS, BS, BA, MS MA, Phd, Dr - whatever degree - or show off your trade, your skill you do hair, nails, makeup - show your tools, not your fucking ASSES. It's absolutely EPIC FUCKERY Stop this dumb shit. Just because famous women are wearing nearly NO clothing and parading around showing off their asses doesn't mean you should too. It just shows how LOW they think of themselves - They have the world at their fingertips, and CHOOSE to talk, sing and dance about their ability to Fuck a MAN/WOMAN and how fat their asses are. Think about it - PLEASE, and stop showing off your ass, let me see who you are. Better yet, find out ...WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU!

Question for my yoga-practicing friends:

I've been more and more interested in giving yoga a try. The problem is that with my wrist, I can't do any pose that requires my hand to be bent back like in straight-arm planks.

Is it even worth trying, or would there be too many poses I can't do?

findingthinagain- I think everyone already knows Carly, but if you don't, she's  an incredible young woman. Though she's 10 years younger than me, I look up to her for her hard work and determination.

abitofsilliness- Sarah is the Zumba queen. She's also like a bright ray of sunshine on your dash, if sunshine came in multiple bright colors.

becomingiron- Another amazing lady that everyone knows (but maybe you're new and you don't), Robin has overcome so much to accomplish incredible things and is now training for an ironman.

run-doozer-run- Brittany is a rockstar (to steal her word) with infectious positivity.

dobetternow- Vivian's blog is filled with amazing, inspiring pictures- of her doing awesome things and going awesome places.

lindsaydoeslife- Hostess of LDLC (Lindsaydoes life challenge), becoming a Warrior, and getting back on track!

snapthistiger- Stephen is one of the most encouraging people on tumblr. I only started following him a few weeks ago, and I feel like I've been missing out.

largesunglasses- She's awesome in that she doesn't give up. She keeps hanging in there, walking along, fitting into her old pants and stuff.

runenvy- Ambyr is such a cool person. She has a fantastic life an posts 4 things from it every day. I always look forward to it.

My leg feels mostly better this morning. 

I never did scrape because I didn't want to have to balance on top of the stepladder with my hurt leg, so I have to do that today + push ups & v-ups.

Reasons Why I'm Lucky Enough

I met a man at a time where I wasn't expecting to find love.

I'm studying abroad in a country (albeit horrid weather) with awesome transport and cheap-esque designer clothes

I've found friends in this foreign country that I actually like, who like things that I like as well. 

One of my closest friend is in the same country as me.

I took up rock climbing and am kick as at it even though some people doubted me in the beginning.

I am a member of a gym.

My parents can afford the ludicrous international student fees comfortably.

I have family in this country.

I spent two wonderful nights in Paris with the man I love. 

God gave me 1 year with him close to me. (&with enough luck, maybe the strength to pull through two years without being close to him.)

I have a smart phone, a camera and a laptop of my own.

I love healthy eating.

I am growing into someone I can be proud of.

I'm going home in 13 days.

And despite my luck, I wish I were lucky enough to not have to be apart from him.

To Vivian and Jos- Your mystery pose... drumroll please

is Visvamitrasana :)

Off the top of my head I thought it was (insert Sanskrit term) Vasisthasana (that's side-plank) in the way that you put "Parivrtta" before every asana that's "revolved," like Parivrtta Ardha Chandrasana (revolved half moon) or "Utthita" before "extended" poses like Utthita Parsvakonasana (extended side angle). Anyway, no such luck- it's a completely different term that I would never have known off the top of my head because I don't practice it and have never taught it myself.

Er, sorry for the Sanskrit babbling. I love Sanskrit, in case anyone on tumblr doesn't know that already :P

And I've always seen it taught from a lower point of entry, instead of from Trikonasana like I've seen you two doing. It might be worth a try to enter it in the way that Kathryn writes about in her Challenge Pose blog on Yoga Journal. She did a post about Visvamitrasana a couple months ago and I remembered it. Here it is!
