i will literally never get over the doberman pinscher. name a single other breed that can match them in balance, ferocity, athleticism, affection, loyalty, appearance, gentleness and nobility. the tragedy of how poor breeding practices are quickly elimating this breed never fails to throw me into anguish. every doberman my mother kept in my childhood was a godsend to me as a child in a turbulent home. no other breed ive had since or worked with since has radiated such safety, evoked such a sense of duty amd respect, even as a silly awkward puppies. one day ill have one of my own. my greatest hope some days its that the breed can recover from its decline in a healthy and humane way.
