I want to go to Dobutsu at a future con but I am always a bit nervous because I am friends with several of the women involved and the folks in charge and Iwant to support my friends but I am worried about coming off like a creep to my friends at the same time, especially when I know a few of their partners as well. It is an odd dilemma. Do you have any suggestions?

If you’re friends, then it’s not creepy at all!

I mean, anyone coming to our events isn’t creepy. ouo; We want everyone to really enjoy themselves, to laugh, and play games. We choose our costumes and take almost total liberty creatively with what goes on our bodies, so if you have a concern with what you’re allowed to see this familiar friend in, know it’s totally fine.

One of our nights a few years ago I had accented my outfit with a bra that was a matching color so I unzipped my dress to let the bra stick out. A patron approached me and in almost a hushed tone acquired something like “Your bra is like totally out, is that okay?” I’m still not sure if he was advising me to maybe zip up a bit, or if he thought I had no clue my whole bra was showing but… My dude, thank you, it’s on purpose though.

We just happen to use suggestive themes as a night lounge. In fact it helps some of us girls who might be a little nervous anyways about being more sexual, having people around that we are more familiar with. I know I’m always thrilled to see anyone I recognize and get sad when they have to leave early. qvq

Bottom line, don’t touch us without asking. If we’re making suggestive jokes to you, more jokes are harmless.Know that our auctions are real, not just numbers we’re throwing out for fun,and that social norms still exist. We have fun but don’t get so bonkers that you become belligerent.
