Rewatching SPN 3x14
At first, I honestly didn’t wanna watch the episode cuz I wasn’t too thrilled about the whole doc benton storyline thing, but as usual, I’m glad I did.
Sam and Dean’s dynamics just killed me - Dean was legit. Terrified in that first scene you can actually see it because of how he tries to hide it.. And then he strategically placed himself behind Sam when Sam was exorcising the demon so that his brother couldn’t see him actually terrified and that right there. Broke my heart.
And omg Sam is getting harsher and more…darker against the villains like whoowee his narrow eyed glare!
But woah when Sam was like ‘oh you’re not gonna let me stay?’ to Dean and i dreaded to hear whatever Dean would eventually retort with but thankfully as if he knew Sam kept going on tryna appease his brother that they’re doing what they’re doing for the same reason and god their expressions was so heart broken because Dean was dying and they had to split up because they both. Needed. To Save. Dean.
Buuuut on a lighter note!!! Sam trying to ruin Dean’s appetite by wantonly provoking him about the human wastage stuff - dude i wasn’t even eating and even i was a bit grossed out on behalf of Dean, honestly if Sam didn’t provoke him I think Dean would have let the burger be but it was as if he kept eating just to spite Sam LOL
POINT FOR SMART DEAN dipping that knife in chloroform and stabbing it at Benton’s heart knowing it would pump it through the rest of his body!!
I sheepishly admit (In my defense its been a year since I’ve seen this specific episode and even though i knew it was coming i forgot the details so i didn’t realize what exactly i was supposed to be expecting and when!) that i shrieked when benton’s arms appeared out of nowhere and used the chloroform on Sam…. Dean to the rescue! :D
Bella, though… we finally find out her backstory and as much as I wish Dean knew the exact details behind why she sold her soul because maybe then he’d have been more sympathetic and not as harsh… she actually maintained this sort of character of hers - she didn’t want pity - by not telling Dean even though she had the chance to defend herself, that she was being, well, abused, to put it lightly, by what must have been undoubtedly her dad… She didn’t want his pity.
And Dean..
“I’ll see you in hell” he probably says/said that to a load of monsters or villains or whatever thinking jokingly that he’s probably gonna end up in hell for the stuff he’s done, low self esteem or self worth or whatever the correct term at play here, or maybe like a little ‘your torture is never gonna end’ kinda thing to say to the character getting ganked or whatnot BUT
He actually meant it. He knew Bella was gonna go to hell… and he was slowly coming to terms (but also not really but yeah he also gave up) that he was going to hell as well.
And they all knew it.
Especially Sam, who was sitting right by him, hence hearing him say those words.
weird question. is the creeper based on vermont's doc benton cryptid/bogeyman
long white hair, trench coat, sustaining self through replacing failing organs with fresher ones
y/n
apparently no one gave Billy Drago the memo that he wasn’t on Charmed bc oh wow is he ever going all Demon of Fear on Sam Winchester
I wonder what Doc Benton has been doing this whole time since Sam and Dean buried him alive
