I hope they stick closer to the book on this one. S2 was good but S1 was a lot better simply because they didn’t deviate so much.

I don't know. Not deviating from the book could be just as bad, and there are things in s2 that more or less corresponds to the book that bother me more than the deviations. Sure I'd love for the House of the Undying-scene to be just like the book, but there's budget, and the fact that flashbacks don't work as well on screen as on paper to think about. More time with Robb makes perfect sense to me, and I really don't care about the Jeyne/Talisa thing. Same thing with Ros. Besides, at-least 9/10 viewers haven't read the books so I'm just grateful HBO aren't incorporating sexy vampires, not-so-sexy were-wolfs and what-the-fuck-do-I-know fairies. 

Anyway, from the grizzly details people are talking about at winteriscoming.net concerning a certain gruesome event in s3, it seems they're doing it very much by the book!
