After a friend’s grandfather passed away a few years ago, he inherited a bunch of old #monochrome #negatives. Many were severely #damaged by time’s ravages, and all were obsolete formats that presented serious challenges in both the traditional and digital #darkroom. Doc Herman was a long time #countrydoctor in northern Louisiana who served as a #medic in #ww2 Though probably shot with simple #pinhole #boxcameras with an amateur eye, I love them for their creative composition and intriguing #untoldstories This was my first major crack at #vintagephotography #restoration using both #lightroom and #photoshop to clean them up.
