1. Why don't you ship it?

The simplest and most completely honest answer is that in this book I’m too hung up on Xie Lian and this does not include him in any way.

The longer answer is that from the point where the story leaves them I simply can’t see them working out anything romantic.

2. What would have made you like it?

I did, when they first appeared in Ban Yue I was all like ‘all hands on board, mateys!!!’... and then the entire Black Water arc happened.

3. Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it?

I really do like their dynamic, and they are perfect for angst, I just... simply can’t see how it would work out in a positive way, and the alternatives I can think of are too dark and messed up.

For the horse thing have you considered an Akhal Teke "Golden Horse" for Suihua? They´re ridiculosuly pretty, very sleek and stream lined and one of the oldest breeds of horses too, so they got the looks and the pedigree^^

Since I have eventing in mind for JC’s horses, an Akhal Teke!Zidian would be so cool, because they really are incredibly hardy horses, and while the golden coat is their most famous one, they come in many other colors, such as

Ever since I heard The Morrigan by Heather Dale (go check it out itr´s a fantastic song^^) I´ve been -craving- a Morrigan skin for Moira...I like the Banshee too but yeah, it fits her so well, especially with these lyrics...build with flesh and bone, indeed she does^^

Just gave a quick look at it on Wiki and... it says a lot of interesting things *insert eyes emoji* .It’s associated with War and fate ( to this last is the name “Moira” - or Moirai, the greek goddesses of Fate-). Morrigan was used to lead warriors to battle/death, helping them winning over their enemies if she wanted to. It’s practically the Irish version of the Valkyrie.It’s associated to Banshee, so... yes, one way or another it has to be a legendary skin of hers. It’d be cool (hoping it won’t be a recolor of the original Banshee skin... but I wouldnì’t mind to have her with long red hair).

Oh my... He’s a tough one, because I can see him hooking up with anything that moves, but I can’t really ship him with any named characters? Other than casual flings or friends with benefits?

I kinda get the vibe that if he sees a woman as An Person (Ling Wen, Yushi Huang) he either completely loses romantic interest, or just really, truly doesn’t know how to proceed.

🔥 for a topic of your choice that you always wanted to have a go at^^

Not a fresh complaint, but something reminded me of it recently and now I’m pissed off all over again, so:

By all logic it should be humanly impossible to make a film that feels both like the director and the screenwriter didn’t bother to watch a single other entry in the series AND the shitty, scene-for-scene recut of two previous films, but lo and behold, Cinematic Marvel The Last Jedi somehow pulls it off.

What the hell was that???

Finn? They basically pushed a reset button on his character and chucked him into a B-plot that did not, in the end, do anything to advance the plot OR lead to meaningful character development because they basically made him go through the same arc he already had in TFA.

Poe? Nothing, exactly nothing in TFA suggested that he’d be a stereotypical macho hunk who has half a litre of AXE bodyspray sloshing around in his head instead of brains, but they just HAD to go with this, right?

Rey??? The hell??? Look... Luke’s actions and attitude in RotJ made sense because not only was Vader the father he idolised all his life, but he also had enough time to think things through and let his feelings settle down. But Rey? Kylo Ren was a literal stranger to her AND she went from hating his guts to ‘BUT I CAN BRING HIM BACK TO THE LIGHT!!!’ IN THREE DAYS TOPS!

Ugh and this whole smug ‘if you don’t like it you just can’t appreciate how original, revolutionary and never-before-seen this film is!!!’ attitude... This film was so original, revolutionary and never-before-seen that they had to make an extra LITERALLY LICK A PLANET to make sure the audience knows that it’s TOttttaLLY not Hoth.

Yes it’s been four years.

To keep with anon´s demon´s with kitty qualities, whenever San Lang or He Xuan have to sneeze it ends with them doing so for two, three dozen times until they´re all frazzled and dazed. Xie Lian tries so gard not to laugh bit he simply can´t help himself, it´s too cute. Also, whenever they feel threatened they will puff up like angry kittens. It´s not as easy on He Xuan because of his ponytail but San Lang looks as if he had put his finger into a power outlet ^^

Hah, and now I can’t stop picturing tiny still-human Hong-er doing the Ghibli Puffy Hair thing when he’s angry. :D

12. 🏆 the best book you’ve read

Wow, that’s a HARD one. I could nominate some for ‘the one that fits my personal taste the most, and also I’m ready to defend it in terms of literary merit’ but The Best? I don’t... feel qualified.

Okay, let’s try it this way:

The one that had the deepest impact on my personality: The Lord of the Rings, hands down, no doubt.

The one I unironically love, which is also held up as A Great Classic: Les Misérables.

Those that gave me pretty much everything I want in a book: Night Watch by Terry Pratchett and Tian Guan Ci Fu by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu.
