He had it all planned out. And now, to enact his master plan...
Nefarious was currently sneaking into the area he'd come to know Vendra and Neftin often frequented, and carefully hid a stereo system in a very strategic location. A very powerful stereo system. One that was rigged to blast Courtney Gears music right into the ears of whoever sat down nearby.
"Since Vendra loves music so much, she's sure to love this..." he cackled to himself as he finished setting up the trap, and then hid nearby to watch the chaos unfold. This is what happens when you make edits of his Galactic Idol audition!
Ah, the junkyard. Truly a place of wonder. Sure, it smelled worse than Agorian sweat and a swamp combined, and would make any other normal person turn their back on it because of how absolutely gross it was. Not a place anyone would look upon fondly. The twins, however, were different. They knew what kind of treasures could be found hidden within it. All the stuff people threw away without really thinking of how valuable it was, even if it wasn't brand new or in top condition.
And today, well, Vendra had taken it upon herself to go there after noticing they were running low on supplies - again. Her brother, Neftin, couldn't come with her since he had to meet up with their parole officer in the city. Something about updating them of their current situation or whatever.
But it was how things were now and, well, there wasn't much she could do about it. The small Nether had to do this or else she wouldn't be able to continue her work. But, Orvus was it hard! She wasn't built for heavy lifting. Sure, having Riot did make things somewhat easier for her; the critter was full of energy, he could run around for hours before he started feeling exhausted, and had been trained to go and look for useful items in the junkyard.
But Vendra, well, she wasn't that lucky. Her powers had a limit and, as expected, once they were no longer of use she had to use her very own (and thankfully gloved) hands. And, yeah, it didn't take long before she started feeling exhausted from that. There was so much junk to move!
"Okay. I definitely need to sit down for a moment. Orvus, I wish I didn't have to do this without Nef today." Now, normally, she would be more on guard because of past experiences. But today? Not happening. She would just march herself over to an old chair she had noticed after Riot came by with some items he had found. A chair that, unfortunately for the small Nether, was placed RIGHT BY THE TRAP.
Needless to say, she realized the mistake she had made the moment her butt hit the chair. Music came blasting out of nowhere and suddenly she didn't find herself being as tired as she she used to. Why, Vendra pretty much flew out of her chair and tried her best to cover her sensitive ears with her hands the moment the music started.
"Oh, that son of a - YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS, MARK MY WORDS!!! I KNOW IT WAS YOU, NEFARIOUS! AND I WILL MAKE SURE YOU PAY FOR IT!" Oh, he had surely done it now. Vendra wasn't a big fan of Courtney Gears' music, so this was pretty much torture for her. And it didn't help that she didn't know where the music was coming from! "ALSO, YOUR TASTE IN MUSIC SUCKS!"
And with that, her day had been cut short. She had no choice but to leave her junkyard in a hurry with Riot following closely behind her. But, oh, was she already planning on revenge. Nefarious had not seen the last of her or her pranks. And she might already have an idea of what to do...
