There was a note left outside their apartment door, stood against a bottle of the most expensive water on the market. The handwriting was rushed, seemed like an attempt at cursive, and overall not the most professional hand that could have been used, but it was legible.
Water,
I'm sorry for scaring you off last week. I hope you found your way home safe and we can talk again soon. I didn't know what drink you liked, so I got you some water, sorry if that's cheesy-

@doctor-legundo
(The returned note is in very neat penmanship. They haven’t changed the way they write at all, still putting little swirls on the T’s and open-circle i’s.)
Do- Legundo.
It’s alright. It wasn’t your fault. You waking up so suddenly just startled me. I should be apologizing for dumping water on your head, if anything.
I would also like to see you again, it would be nice to get to know you and Owen better. The food was great, by the way. If you weren’t a doctor I’d say you’re a chef.
It’s not cheesy at all. I’m going to save it for a late night study session. Where the heck did you even get this thing-
…maybe a few study sessions together would be fun. We both study a kind of medicine, in a sense. You for the body, me for the mind. It would be interesting to see the other perspective.
And I do still owe you a coffee.

(It looks as if they had signed it with a last name as well, but it was too scribbled out to read most of it… it looked eerily similar to your own… but you’re probably just seeing things.)
