“You got that right.”  Dustfinger’s eyes kept flitting back to Tom’s face as he looked around; he was terrified that the man would change any moment and he would be left alone with a monster.  Under any other circumstances, he would have done everything in his power to avoid this kind of a situation, but the two had to stick together if they wanted to stay alive.  Their powers had become known to some powerful people, who wanted to harness them and use them as weapons, and all they could do was to stay on the move and hope they weren’t being tracked.
