On Two Fronts: Latinos and Vietnam Documentary Trailer
Trailer for a full-length documentary film I edited and co-produced.
"Perfect Blend" - MMW Productions, 2011
Directed & Produced by: Maya Milenovic Workman
Edited & Co-Produced by: Lisa Mazzella
Perfect Blend chronicles the lives of young people of mixed race - specifically black and white - and their experiences as they struggle to form their identities. Doing so proves to be a challenge in American society, where, despite the progress made from the Civil Rights movement, our culture continues to harbor unresolved issues with race and racial mixing. Workman points out that this tension makes its way into our educational system and, consequently, inhibits these interracial kids from learning and sustaining personal growth; at a young age they already sense that a person's skin color determines how society will treat them.
