Music documentaries worth your time. #2
Second time around, we wanna take you around some more culturally (more or less) fixated music doc's that you absolutely have to see. Some of you probably already have, but chances are that many of you haven't, so... Dig in!
Good Copy Bad Copy (2007) 59 min. Danish (Yet strongly focused on Sweden) music documentary about more than just copyrights, but mainly about copyrights. Featuring Girl Talk, Danger Mouse and more. Directed by Andreas Johnsen, Ralf Christensen and Henrik Moltke.
Lucky People Center Internation (1998). An absolutely amazingly odd film by Swedish superhero director Johan Soderberg, whom over the years also has done such films like: Surplus (2003), Tokyo Noise (2002) and the The Planet (2006). It's essentially a film about the rhythm of nationality, globalization and our planet. This is just a clip, the whole things is out there somewhere, but you already know how to find it. ;)
Refused Are Fucking Dead (2006). (Speaking of Sweden) A beautiful and poetic docu about a band, who's individual dreams and collective ideals collides in a single moment that changes their lives in more than several ways. And... Hey, what better time to catch up on this, since we just went thru the whole re-union shabam this year. Yes! They are back together. Whether that's good or bad..... doesn't change the fact that this film is a very powerful thing. The film is on youtube, yet without subtitles, so searching for it is a must.
To be continued......
