"I would say 'it could be worse', but ..."

With only one of his Pokemon in his possession, the trainer found himself glancing about with some anxiety as he wandered through the dry climate. Thanks to a strange bird symbol on the side of his arm, Touya had managed to figure out that his housing was bound to be the house with the same symbol-- but that alone didn't explain much of anything. Ares was what it apparently represented-- but what significance did it have to him? Not to mention the fact he was somewhere outside Unova made him slightly weary. He did love a good adventure but-- 

-- it'd be nice to have a map, too.

The orange pig in his arms seemed to pick up on the boy's worry and appeared concerned himself, hazel eyes blinking bemusedly at the unfamiliar scents of the forest and, no doubt, of the creatures within it.

"Shh.. shh.." he cooed softly, petting the Tepig gently as he attempted to comfort the Pokemon as best as possible. However, it was then that a rustle was heard behind the two of them, causing the fire type to leap out of the trainer's arms in order to stand defensively before him. 

"....?"

"Someone there, buddy?"

Wake up: you're alive, Shinji(Open Dodeka)

The cloud of emptiness began to lift from the boy's mind. There was no reason to sleep anymore: Luck had it that he would be given the ability to breathe again. Or could he even call it luck? Was he even in his own world anymore? It wouldn't surprise him if this state of supposed consciousness was just his mind playing tricks on him. But of course, did he even have a mind left to use when he was in a state of pure nothingness? Probably not. How could a being who did not exist anymore even bother to think? His eyes fluttered open. Slow at first, only to blink several times afterwards. He then sat up from the warm cot he found himself lying upon. A large mirror stood at his wall, to which he looked at curiously. If he was still 'dead', how could he move or see his own reflection? How could he ponder over those he left behind forever on that cold October night?

"When you die, that's it. You never come back as your body decays and the rest of you leaves for a black void." Shinji wasn't stupid enough as to believe that there was some kind of god figure. Of course, that might change entirely once he learns more about the place he was now stuck within. A pity that his words were all too ironic. "So...why am I still alive? Or am I some kind of ghost, like in those lame horror movies?" What a stupid conclusion, Shinjiro. You of all people know better than to think something along those lines. Whatever reason he was still alive, he was up and kicking. But he had to find out what this place was, and where the others were. ...If they were here at all, that is.

He walked outside of the first house of the horns, only to find himself surrounded by ancient buildings. The area seemed abandoned and yet recently occupied. Would he find any of his friends here? If he did, Shinjiro might just have to thank them for taking care of Ken (Akihiko in particular). Despite these warm thoughts, he seemed aloof to those who crossed his path. He did dress a bit like a hobo, after all. What the hell did he expect? Normally, he expected others to leave him be, but Shinjiro wouldn't mind an explanation or two. The only issue was how he might go about and ask complete strangers. With a sigh, he looked down just in time to bump smack into the next person heading in the direction opposite him. Offering a hand, he sighed before saying. "Hey, you alright?" Well, that was considerate. Normally he wasn't at all like this. Was it that he was lost in his thoughts? Yeah, we'll go with that.

Not in Inaba anymore (Open)

Chie had never been outside of Inaba, save for the few school field trips. And honestly, the world inside the tv didn't really count in her mind as some place outside of her country town. While it was another world, the place was much too accessible. It may as well have been an extension of her hometown and world.  Sighing, the female adolescent walked about the strange land near the house of the Crane. As she did this, Chie couldn't help but hear odd noises coming from the woods nearby. "Geez, this has to be some kind of messed up dream, right?" Although it was easy to see that she was no longer in her hometown, she wasn't yet convinced that any of this was real. Or at least, she wouldn't believe it right off the bat. 

Although she wouldn't normally do something so stupid, Chie decided that it would be best to pinch herself. How else would she find out whether or not this was real? After she did this however, a look of utter dread crept upon her features. Not only was she no longer in Inaba: She didn't seem to be amongst her norm of civilization. How the heck was she going to eat?  At the sudden thought of food, her stomache growled angrily at the brunette. Right: Chie didn't eat at all since yesterday. "...I'm so hungry. If only I could find a restaurant or something." She groaned out to no one in particular. But this place...something about it told her she was no longer in her time period. As if to confirm this, a winged creature came soaring towards her with tremendous force. Was that...a mythical beast? Chie wasn't extremely familiar with her history, but she could tell when something looked ridiculously unreal. At least, from her perception anyway. 

  "Protect me, Tomoe!" Chie called out loud without another word. Was she scared of this Stymphalian bird? Well, no shit, Sherlock! Yet Chie knew that if she sat idly by, she might die. As her persona appeared before her, a reassuring smile crept upon her features. Tomoe appeared, a large knight-like creature with yellow armor. After it did, Tomoe used the spell Bufula, which froze it temporarily. Footsteps crept behind Chie in the midst of battle, the sound quiet, but audiable at the same time. Who was there? Were they a threat in this unknown world like the creature? Well, she was about to find out soon enough. "...Who are you?" The brunette asked, her stance defensive. Tomoe stood close by the girl, a soldier protecting this 'prince'.

It seems Cliff was once again waking up in a place he did not really know how or why he was in a certain place, by now he was used to this with all the trouble he would get himself into when travelling from planet to planet. First, he looked around and could see he was in a room, at least he wasn't tied up or being put to be tortured like other times he had awoken in an unfamiliar place. The male gets up and walks toward the door, opening it and taking a peek outside, it was quiet and very dry outside. 

"...Hello?"

 Cliff greets the wind, hoping for a response back from maybe someone who was also lost like him, hopefully someone could help him. He steps out from the room and closes the door behind him, putting his hands in his pocket he walks quietly around the area, he was at least hearing people talking, or was that his imagination? 

"Is there anyone there? Hello??"
