Absolutely smitten ||Shawn Mendes||

Authors note: Oh hi again, yes i’m back at it. This is my second shot at writing and I’m so happy with how this one turned out. I got inspired for this when listening to Dodie’s song ‘Absolutely smitten’ (p.s. if you haven’t listened to Dodie then i strongly suggest you do, shes a British youtuber but she also has an EP out called Intertwined and its amazing!!). So here you go!

Her eyes locked with the familiar brown ones of a boy she had seen countless times around college. They were complete strangers to each other but he was the handsome stranger that she always went on about to her friends. The friends around them had wanted them to meet for a long time but to them this was the perfect setting, a small house party. ‘Go on y/n talk to him, we all know that you like him’ her best friend whispered into her ear, at these words she felt her heart begin to swell and feel like it was gonna thump out of her chest, the same feeling she got every time she saw him.

She sucked up all the courage she had and walked up to him and introduced herself. His smile grew as she told him her name, that’s when it hit her she felt like cupid had shot an arrow into her. ‘My names Shawn’ he said as his Canadian accent rolled off his tongue as she felt her legs turn into jelly. Her mind started to race with the thoughts of am i pretty enough?? Will he actually like me?? She was pulled away from her thoughts by the brown eyed Canadian asking if she wanted to go get a drink. As they made their way through the crowd she felt his hand slip into hers, a warm and fuzzy feeling rised up through her, as Shawn looked back at her, he could see her flushed red cheeks as she looked to the ground with a smile plastered on her own face, he could still see the glimpse of the bright red lipstick she was wearing.

 They got into the kitchen and she grabbed her drink of choice as he lent up against the counter and brang her close as other people struggled to get by. Shawn started to giggle as he said ‘stop looking down at the floor’. She looked up at him taking the opportunity to take all his features in from this close, the curls of his brown hair were roughly placed in an upward position with some falling down sticking to his forehead because of the heat. His lips, plum and pink all she could think about was kissing them until they turned blue .His cheeks rosy, and pink because of the heat and her.  His jawline, nose and cheekbones shaping his face into the beautiful masterpiece it is. And lastly his eyes, even though they are brown they still reminded her of an ocean because she was drowning in them. He pulled her closer and she let her head fall onto his chest as she giggled. She was absolutely smitten. He was absolutely smitten. They were absolutely smitten.

Calling all people going to dodie’s intertwined tour in the UK!!

I had the idea to try and make every single night of dodie’s tour extra special and give back to the lovely human that has given us so much!

So, taking ideas from @/ projectdodie on twitter (I was there for that, it was so cool), I came up with this cool way to make dodie’s intertwined tour as amazing as possible.

The idea is to hold up little signs during her last song of every show to show her how much we love her!

BUT, the signs would be a twist on her own lyrics!

What I need is:

-one person from every tour date to help organise

-lots of people to share this post

I came up with some sign ideas so all I need is for people to contact me if you wanna help out on a certain day

You won’t have to do much at all, it’s just so that I can communicate with people on each of the shows!
