I saw your post pondering about the deal behind Susan/the doc and I think I can give some insight! Some of it is just shippers being shippers but for an actual reason why someone might end up shipping them is because of dynamics. Doc loves what he is but at the same time can feel alone. Susan initially doesn't but grows to love who and what she is. Unlike with Derek, Doc and Susan have a mutual friendship and at the very least some common ground to bond through which is always fun for writers.

personally i dont understand the appeal even with the explaination (which is nothing against you nonnie, i have but one braincell lol) but thats defs an interesting insight !
