WOAH A DAY THAT ISNT SATURDAY? Unheard of. Posting this before pride month ends for me uhhh my friend dared me to draw like on my computer and i was like "yoo bet" (i usually draw with just a tablet and procreate,,,) but this was done with a wacom intuos i got like forever ago and krita. I had a horrible time

 I’m sorry that I couldn’t change the background and that these are basically just filters from an online photo editor, but it’s what I can do on my current set up. It’s my first sims edit, and I just love that my first could be Sylvie and Miles. :)

eyy time for another product review no one asked for

this time it’s for toilet paper (specifically reel paper)

right up front: they don’t sell you less than 24 rolls of toilet paper at a time and it’s $30, which is $1.25 a roll. i have a referral link that gets you $5 off, which takes it down to $25/$1.04 a roll. if that’s still too rich for you i feel you, i’m not gonna bury that lede.

so anyway our local store stopped carrying recycled tp and also every time i buy recycled tp it sucks. i’d been looking at bamboo tp but i don’t trust internet toilet paper because i can’t tell if it’s secretly one-ply garbage. i have a bidet so bad toilet paper isn’t the end of the world but that doesn’t mean i have to like it. i decided to buy reel because, according to their website:

100% bamboo, no trees involved

100% recyclable or compostable paper packaging

partnered with SOIL Haiti to donate fifty cents of every purchase toward safe management of human waste

the bamboo is harvested from a renewable bamboo forest in china

they’re pretty insistent that they vetted the hell out of their chinese business partners to ensure it’s all on the level

it’s a black-owned business

i’m not into taking a company’s word for it when they say they’re super-ethical but i figure it can’t be any worse than whatever charmin’s up to so i decided to risk it.

it shipped way faster than i expected and came individually wrapped in paper to keep the rolls safe without plastic. it seemed kinda thin and stiff so i resigned myself to 24 rolls of regret but it actually works great?? it doesn’t dissolve the second it gets wet so you don’t have to layer it fifty times to use it, it’s actually pretty sturdy. it’s not as soft as the four-ply quilted whatever but it’s not that straight-up paper they have in public restrooms sometimes. i’m not gonna wipe it over some blue-tinted water or anything so you’ll have to take my word for it.

this is a weird post but when i was looking for third-party reviews all i found were videos and i don’t want to watch people asking me to like and subscribe while discussing toilet paper, i just wanna know if it’s flimsy garbage. and i don’t trust eco-friendly product reviewers because they’re willing to suffer for the greater good which is noble but unhelpful. i have gastrointestinal issues, don’t sell me scratchy toilet paper.

verdict: will probably keep buying this
