When Seitarou received an email notification when his package was delivered to Kenshirou’s apartment, he felt a thrill of excitement, eager to hear Kenshirou’s feedback and see which cologne he favored, and which smelled best on him. The lieutenant had a particular enjoyment for pleasant scents, and while Kenshirou had rapidly become his favorite, Kenshirou plus cologne would certainly be one of his new favorites.
He was kept busy all morning with several tasks that needed completion before Hitoshi came to spend the day here tomorrow. On his lunch break, he finally had a chance to text Kenshirou about it.
[⭐️🦋🍓🐾]: “Hi dear, how has your day been so far? It’s a little busy over here. I’m really looking forward to tomorrow! It’ll be great getting to spend the day with you, even if it’s just at work. 😘”
The idea of just getting to be around him, to be in his presence, to be within his protective reach, made Seitarou feel warm and fuzzy on the inside. He was trying hard not to let himself be worried about messing up tomorrow, and instead keep a positive outlook.
He’d had one more session with Dr. Kimura since he had told Kenshirou about the possibility of medication, and he would have at least one more before she prescribed him anything. They both wanted to see how much he could improve just by using the techniques she taught him, which included deep breathing, meditation, and aromatherapy. He’d started wearing an essential oil blend of lavender, bergamot, and sweet orange, since he found it to be uplifting.
[⭐️🦋🍓🐾]: “Did you get your present this morning? They said it was delivered last night. I really hope you like it! ☺️”
Even if Kenshirou hadn’t had a chance to smell each of them, that was alright. Maybe he’d even use some tomorrow, when they’d actually be around each other.
The five-piece cologne sampler was as nice as Seitarou could afford for it to be; he wanted it to be of good quality, but he also didn’t want to spend irresponsibly, which was partly why he’d resigned himself to one-ounce bottles in an assortment that would be sure to have something that Kenshirou would want to buy more of.
Aaaaa more of that cute Momo/Kenshirou headcanon stuff maybe? I hadn't realized we didn't have to /pick/ a question and that we could just have all the questions in one go. I feel like these two would never or rarely fight, Kenshirou has so much respect for the Warden that he wouldn't like starting arguments. If he really couldn't see something the way she does he'd probably ask to "agree to disagree" if it is a small matter, but not if it's a problem that needs for an agreement to be reached.
Send me a ship and I’ll tell you…
((ooc: no problemo, my fossilized friendo. i’ll get the thing up right at this very moment in time.
Who asks the other on dates: They both ask each other. Constantly. Their work load makes matching their schedules tricky, but they manage.Who is the bigger cuddler: Already AnsweredWho initiates holding hands more often: Momoko, who has to steel herself every time lest she suffer a minor freak out from her embarrassment.Who remembers anniversaries: They both do, though Kenshirou does it more reliably. Momoko’s just a really busy person and loses track of time every so often…Who is more possessive: Momoko; Kenshirou’s devotion may be absurd, but nobody can beat Momoko in a battle of emotions. She doesn’t feel anything half-way.Who gets more jealous: Kenshirou, purely because Shin exists and Doggo himself has no other (known) suitors at present.Who is more protective: This is a really hard one. On the one hand, Kenshirou has to deal with pretty dangerous people far more regularly than Momoko does. On the other hand, when she has to personally intervene, it means the one she’s facing is one of the most dangerous people on the planet. Ultimately, I guess they’d be about equal.Who is more likely to cheat: Pffffft, hahahahahahaha. Yeah, right.Who initiates sexy times the most: Momoko, due to her being both the most innocent maiden and the one who wears the pants in their relationship. Her face could be used as a grill whenever she asks, of course.Who dislikes PDA the most: Momoko, but only on the clock. Otherwise, they would be disgustingly adorable with each other.Who kills the spider: Kenshirou; Momoko doesn’t mind spiders one bit.Who asks the the other to marry them: Kenshirou, in a very traditionally romantic way that he probably had to spend a few months beforehand setting up.Who buys the other flowers or gifts: They buy each other stuff all the time, though Momoko has to use Hitokoe as a guinea pig whenever she makes Kenshirou a gift to make sure it isn’t dangerous.Who would bring up possibly having kids: Kenshirou; Momoko’d be fine with or without children.Who is more nervous to meet the parents: Momoko, because man, she just feels so many feelings!Who sleeps on the couch when the other is angry: If it ever got to that point (which, granted, it almost certainly never would), then they’d start arguing about which should get the bed and which the couch. They both argue that the other get the bed, because of fucking course they do.Who tries to make up first after arguments: Tie. Neither can stand non-happy feelings from or towards each other, so they’d both cave pretty damn quickly.Who tells the other they love them more often: Kenshirou, and it sends Momoko to blushing-hard-enough-to-be-mistaken-for-a-tomato heaven every time.
and there we are; the rest of the meme has been completed! keep shipping the good ships, buddy))

Seitarou texted Kenshirou before he saw him again, eager to maintain the connection he’d felt with the supervisor.
[⭐️🦋]: “I made cat cookies. Would you like me to bring a plate of them over to your building the next time I bring the paperwork?
[⭐️🦋]: “(Don’t worry, there’s no chocolate in them!)”
Seitarou was working on a surprise for Kenshirou, something else to bring with him to Building Four the next time he saw his boyfriend: a canine-friendly plushie version of Byakuya. He hadn’t seen any of the other guard dogs yet, but he wanted to make plushies of them too. He’d give the first ones to Kenshirou, once he figured out the pattern for each of them.
Speaking of plushies, he needed to replenish his stash stuffing.

Seitarou had two thermoses of tea in the bag slung over one shoulder as he entered Le Petit Dragon at least five minutes early. He smiled at the staff before perusing the shelves of sweet pastries.
Hitoshi had chosen well, as far as his outfit went. Seitarou wore a pair of well-fitting black pants that flared out at the bottoms, where the solid fabric was replaced with dense dark lace. His loose-fitting shirt was pale pink with the black outline of a single butterfly's wing stretching across the whole front of the shirt. The shirt's hem was asymmetrical, and while one side had a loose, fluttery sleeve, the other shoulder had only a black strap to hold it up.
"But won't I get cold when it gets dark?" Seitarou had asked when Hitoshi had chosen it from his closet.
"Yes, and then he'll have to keep you warm," Hitoshi had replied with a wink.
"Oh." A moment later, "Oh! I get it now."
Hitoshi grinned and bopped Seitarou on the nose. "You silly goose."
Then Hitoshi had helped him refresh his cherry pink nail polish and picked out his earrings: yellow stars to match the ones on his hairtie, but smaller.
After some indecision, Seitarou had decided to tie his hair back in a single braid. It was better to keep it from getting tangled if he could, since it tended to get messy more quickly when he left it loose. He could always take it out later if he wanted to.
Seitarou drummed his fingers against his thigh as he looked at the almond rolls and fresh mochi, willing himself to not be nervous. There was nothing to be worried about.
Everything would be fine. The weather was supposed to be clear, and they were getting along well so far. What was the worst thing that could happen?

In the next few days, Seitarou was so busy that he regrettably lost touch with Kenshirou. Hitoshi did come to stay at his apartment, but still visited Hajime when he was off-duty, so they didn’t see much of each other either.
Seitarou was tired. The inmates of cell thirteen were especially unpredictable now that Hajime was gone. They varied between believing they had an actual chance at escape without the Gorilla to stop them, and between thinking there was no fun trying to escape without an enraged Hajime to chase them. Then they found another way to have fun.
“Hey Seitarou, over here~” Uno waved to the lieutenant from around the corner, sticking his tongue out in a smugly playful way.
“How did you get out of your cell again?” the guard whined in exasperation. Of course they’d waited for Kiji to leave the building before pulling a stunt like this, playing a hectic game of tag with the unwilling lieutenant.
At least Tsukumo was kind to him. The inmate was good-mannered enough to be grateful for Seitarou’s attentive care while he was ill. The first day without Hajime, Tsukumo’s fever finally broke and he started feeling better. That was encouraging amidst the chaos.
Seitarou had a lot on his plate with Hajime gone: chasing down the inmates from cell 13, taking care of 99, keeping track of Yamato. It felt like trying to herd cats. Speaking of which, he also had to bathe a cat, which sounded as unpleasant as it had turned out to be. Kuu had squirmed an awful lot during the process, trying to escape repeatedly, catching Seitarou’s skin in his claws more than once. The scratches were unavoidable.
On the bright side, he now had amusing pictures of a soaked, grouchy-looking Kuu to show Hajime when he returned. A slim bright side, but he’d take what he could get. At least Tsukumo was well enough on the second day for Seitarou to take the time to bathe Kuu.
Each morning he had to meet the visiting supervisor at the entrance of the building so he could guide them in. By the third morning, when Kenshirou came to visit, he was practically radiating nervous energy, compensating for his exhaustion with some highly-caffeinated green tea. He smiled to Kenshirou in greeting, in too much of a work mindset to do what he truly wanted to do: through himself into one of Kenshirou’s long hugs and fall asleep in his arms.
“Good morning, Kenshirou-san!” the lieutenant greeted as brightly as he could manage. “We have almost twice as many traps as we did the last time you supervised Building Thirteen for a day, and with Hajime gone, I’ve had to activate a lot of the traps that we only activate at night. So follow me carefully, okay?”
Building Thirteen had more traps than any other building, which made sense since they housed escape artists and eccentric troublemakers who fit into no traditional category. Seitarou’s perfect memory allowed him to walk the halls when they were like this and be fairly safe from getting caught in any of them.
Yamato got lost within the building itself without even trying to keep track of traps, so Seitarou had limited the areas he was allowed to walk around in for now. This meant taking the time to mark off the corridors connecting the work-room, the courtyard, and the office with colored tape on the floor, and explain to the deputy supervisor that he’d better stay inside the green tape for his own good. Don’t cross the red line, Seitarou had directed his superior, who seemed to have no qualms about taking orders from an inferior. He’d approved the plan, after all.
“We’re in the process of making all the traps remotely controlled from our security office, and once Hitokoe-san completes that project for us, it’ll be a lot easier for us to keep even the rowdy ones contained, especially in Hajime’s absence.” Seitarou was fidgeting with his hair as they walked—a nervous habit that Hitoshi would never be able to break him of.
[⭐️🦋]: "Hitoshi and I made cookies tonight. I could bring you some tomorrow with the visitation forms, if you like?"
