We highly recommend all dogs no matter how friendly be muzzle trained. (You never know when a emergency might arise where you may need one & it’s always better to be prepared.) find the muzzle that best suits your needs, your dog and your budget. Not every muzzle is good for every scenario or dog. Flat face dogs need their own type of muzzle that doesn’t allow them to bit but does allow them to properly pant. Any muzzle that does not allow a dog to pant should be used for very short periods of time only. Such as vet or grooming visits. Basket muzzles are the best for longer term use for training, walking, socializing, as they allow the dog to pant and drink water. Leather muzzles are also good for longer term use as they allow panting. Not all dogs who wear muzzles are dangerous. Some people use them to help prevent scavenging for scraps on walks. ALL muzzles are not a permanent solution. They are a tool to help your dog, yourself and those around your dog remain safe.
