Ah yes, ye olde OTP. I admit I still love this ship but Holly you have done the thing that has taken years to develop and made me learn an all new Verde love.
Gives nose/forehead kisses:
Verde is definitely the one to give forehead kisses. He actually likes giving them because there is something reassuring and comforting about a kiss on the forehead. Verde is the type to hold his partner close and let them vent or cry, awkwardly rubbing their back before kissing the forehead and offering to make things better. Skull would kiss the nose- he’d possibly comment in a teasing way that its such an easy spot to kiss considering the size, but following that with “It’s okay, I like it.” Also, it should be mentioned Skull absolutely would pinch Verde’s nose before or after kissing it too in a playful manner.
Skull, easily. Skull is the type to flirt and love his “famous stuntman lifestyle,” but he would also cling onto Verde’s arm and make it very clear the other was taken if he saw Verde being flirted with. He knows when Verde flirts with others it’s relatively harmless to begin with because “that nerd can’t flirt with people he actually likes.” That doesn’t mean he likes it, but Verde would stop flirting if he were in a monogamous relationship regardless. Verde does have his own insecurities, but Skull is surprisingly loyal and it is a pet peeve of his when people assume that he can’t be serious in a monogamous relationship.
Takes care of on sick days:
Both! Verde getting sick means Skull seeing him trying his best to work and ultimately powerless when being carried back to bed. Skull can cook or make him a decent meal and make sure he doesn’t try to sneak off to do his experiments. When Skull is sick, Verde can be very professional: medicine is ready, soup is made on the stove (it’s canned since that is what he can cook), warm blankets and a comfy bed or couch is readied. Skull is grateful for the care, since it was usually Luce or Enma who would show him this attention, but he cannot resist the jokes. He’ll compare Verde to a “mom” or “housewife” and maybe even play up how sick he is for extra attention. A few fake coughs and saying the only cure is for Verde to stop working and watch a movie with him, pamper him, etc. It’d take Skull some time to let Verde be that close to him, as he hates being sick as much as Verde does. (Verde being sick = cranky because he’s struggling with his work. Skull being sick = no makeup, no bike riding, probably feels very gross and insecure on his looks.)
Drags the other person out into the water on beach day:
Skull! Skull wants Verde to stop being a hermit and go to the beach and see Oodako! Keiman as well would want to go and Skull would use her to his advantage. It’s not that Verde hates beaches, but he cannot swim and rarely spends time in the sun. Skull would tease him for his “ugly tropical shirt” followed by “no no it suits you- you’re not ugly that’s just a really gay shirt.” “Skull, we’re in a relationship.” “…Yeah I know. I’m allowed to call things gay.” They’d have fun until Verde needs to be fished out of the water.
Brings the other lunch at work:
Depends really on the situations. Verde can put thought into these things at times. On a day where Skull has a big show or a busy schedule, there is a chance he will open a suitcase and see a bento with his name on it from Verde. When Verde is working in his lab and if Skull is hungry, he would order lunch and order something for Verde. If Skull sees Verde working continuously and is feeling more motivated/wants attention, he will make Verde lunch and force him away from his work to eat (and then not let him go back to work for a while).
Tries to start role-playing in bed:
Skull- it would be more Skull initiating with cheesy dialogue that goes completely over Verde’s head. Like calling him professor/teacher and saying he didn’t do his homework- that really cliche sexy role-playing. This isn’t really one of Verde’s kinks and he doesn’t know how to act, so this would make no sense to him at first before a sudden realization of “oh wait you were trying to seduce me-” “well I WAS, aren’t you supposed to be a genius?” This realization would probably come after too, because Skull would get so tired of Verde not getting it that it would lead to “oh come here you big nerd.”
Embarrassingly drunk dancer:
Skull. Depends on the drunk but Skull. Verde may dance along if forced and if the energy is high enough.
Firmly believes in couples costumes:
Both? I mean I have that Rocky Horror VerSkl image still- Verde and Skull would think about how they can be very over the top with these things and have lots of fun. Like a mad scientist (I know that’s not creative bear with me) and his monster with realistic (because they are!) guts spilling out.
Breaks the expensive gift rule during Christmas:
Both. There is no expensive gift rule, but the gifts can either be thoughtful or worth a laugh. One year Skull might get a new helmet, but another year it may be a vintage Evel Knievel toy. It might also be just a ton of fireworks for Skull to go nuts with. Skull’s gifts can range from books that sounded like something Verde was into, to a pair of big ol’ Godzilla slippers, to various crocodile themed goodies. Verde probably spends more money, but that’s not to say Skull doesn’t spoil him year round with some bougie gifts or dinners.
Makes the other eat breakfast:
Skull. Skull is pretty healthy albeit lazy at times. He’d make a good protein rich breakfast and be up early for his workout before waking Verde up (if Verde slept) and telling him breakfast is on the table. Verde is a slut for brunch (Skull is not but he doesn’t mind it at times) though so that may happen more often.
Depends- Verde remembers a lot but at the same time, they seem like the types to not set things in stone. They both remember birthdays with maybe the rare Skull forgetting Verde’s birthday, which Verde doesn’t mind since it’s never been a big deal to him. Skull, on the other hand, loves his birthday and will tell Verde that “my birthday is in three days do you have anything planned for me? It’s special you know!” “Yeah but you have to wait until your actual birthday. And not midnight ok I’m not watching the clock and counting down minutes.”
Brings up having kids first:
Neither. Verde has the Kokuyo Gang and Skull has Shimon Family, so they both have their kid quotas filled. Skull will consistently tease Verde about how he’s “such a softie!” for those kids, but with the Shimon it’s “They’re totally badass! It’s respect! I’m not a pushover- shut up!”
Again, neither really. Verde doesn’t like killing bugs and will scoop them outside. Skull will swat at a fly or mosquito if they were in the lab (never) but he saves things like crickets or spiders that can be caught under a cup. He does call Verde a bug zapper when they’re outdoors if its an area with mosquitos though. Some bugs Verde isn’t sympathetic to and those are it.
First to define them as a couple:
Skull. He’d bring it up one day very awkwardly. A “So are we…. y’know? Dating? A couple? Do I change my facebook status oooooorrrr….?” Verde would tell Skull if he would like to call it that, then he would be okay.
Who hides their guilty pleasures longer:
Verde. Verde gets embarrassed over his guilty pleasures whether they be completely innocent or sexual in nature, where Skull is much more liberated. As soon as Skull discovers a “guilty pleasure” of Verde’s, the teasing is nonstop and that pleasure is used against him. Oh, what’s this? You’re into this? I’m gonna surprise you later with it.
Both, but it would more likely happen to Verde if he laughed too hard, which would embarrass him. Ditto for Skull, and it’d probably happen after hearing Verde, followed by a “sh-shut it!”
