So…hey, wonderful people! It’s been a while since I’ve posted. I’ve been traveling over the road and didn’t have phone service or wifi...and really...it’s been kinda amazing being cut of from the virtual and just living in the real.

How’s it been going? That’s exactly what I’ve been doing…going. Took a road trip across America from West Virginia to California. It’s been one of the most awesome adventures of my life. USA is entirely beautiful and I can see why folks want to live here.

The beauty is surreal. The landscapes are breathtaking.

Took us about four days driving and stopping some along the way...staying in downtown Denver, Colorado for one night, so it took a bit longer than if we’d drove straight through without stopping...but who can do that except maybe a vampire or zombie, and the last time I checked zombies don’t drive and vampires don’t need to.

But hey, back to what I was typing...the miles are worth it. I’m glad to finally be able to see this country I’ve called home for forty five years. It’s been a journey in the making, and honestly, so much better than sitting in one place.  I have tons of photos to share and details of the trip to post.

I was sitting around wallowing in self-pity for far too long. I was finding new things to hate each day and new ways to be miserable. Now, I can truly say, if you don’t like your life, if you don’t like your situation…change it.

Do something about it. Get out. Go. Do you and live your truth. You only get one chance to make the most of this life you’re living right now...so live it well by following your heart wherever it takes you!

You can never go back and demand those people treat you better. You can never make the young you not feel hurt by those people. You can’t change them or get them to admit it or gain their understanding or acknowledgment. They will not validate your feelings like New York parking. They will not comfort or console your lingering emotions of negativity and despair, which they helped birth into existence. You will never receive your closure from them -- expecting to will only bring you disappointment and further despair.

What you will do is go forward, creating a NEW YOU. You will let go of everything you can’t change and focus on the things you can. You will find inspiration and motivation just when and where you need it. You will find yourself determined, even desperate to create a life you want to live. You’re not going to hate yourself or anyone else in the process. You’re going to cope and come to terms and learn a new way and heal. You’re going to heal from all the things in your past that broke you. You’re going to find the strength to go on and rise above and not hurt anymore. Because you are you and that’s what you do.
