impossible polaroid # 2 from ... more reflections pointless as they maybe. i definitely met dave early on. i had seen him at every GREAT show, that i would be at with my friends. dancing diving singing along like a maniac to some of the bands that were cool to me & shaping me at the time. think there was a live one4one tape i had where dan says something about a chain of strength 7" and dave. i think my first interaction though with dave was something like standing outside the pipeline and i was waxing poetic how killing time should play there. dave said something like "yeah but RAW DEAL would be cooler." and when i said i had no idea who raw deal was i don't think we said another word to each other for almost 20 years. it can be funny this scene we show up for. like carl taking photographs at the great gigs i can always count on seeing dave standing on the floor with me. i know he's clocked me a couple of times i'm sure i've run him over my fair share too all in the name of just losing yourself right? #doingitfordave (at Asbury Park Convention Hall)
