“I don’t know what I’d do without’cha bein’ there for me,” the Irish woman said as she leaned close to Ashley and placed a kiss on her forehead. These last few weeks have been the biggest rollercoaster ride that she’s ever found herself on. From ending her relationship with her now ex-fiance to admitting her feelings for her best friend turned girlfriend to finding out that she was pregnant with the child of the man who she wanted nothing to do with anymore which forced her to vacate her championship and put her wrestling career on hold. They had just left the doctor’s office - a quick visit just to check up on things. She pulled the keys out of her pocket but before handing them over to Ashley, Rebecca quickly asked a question. “Are ya sure you’re okay driving? I can drive still, ya know. becky couldn’t help but swallow back her words. she’d promised the blonde that she’d be more careful -- especially after a knee injury this time last year -- and she looked down at her hands to fill the space between the scolding of the other woman and sighed. all she wanted to do was rebuttle about how mania was always a big deal, she’d be fine and that it was just another kick to the ribs, but she didn’t. ashley had heard it all from her before so she just took another deep breath and apologized again.

“ i’m sorry, “ she said again, still avoiding the blondes green gaze, “ i just -- you know i can’t say no -- “ she said, finally looking up, “ i can’t let vince and hunter protect me anymore. if i don’t go out there and fight... why am i even here? “

Tommy was never someone who broke the trust of a lover... but this was different. He had reason to believe that there was something going on between his wife and her on-screen business associate. This wasn’t his most proud moment but he didn’t care. No man was perfect. He looked into her phone when Thea got in the shower and saw the text messages (and pictures) being exchanged between Thea and Manuel. He used his phone to take pictures of some of the conversations they had so that he could have some proof. That was yesterday and today was a brand new day. Tuesday night. Smackdown Live. Ashley would be here and this would be his chance. He didn’t know her too well but he knew one thing for sure: she didn’t deserve to be cheated on. Approaching her was a tad bit awkward since they hardly knew each other. “Ashley. Hey. I need to speak to you for a second. Can you meet me down near the locker rooms in like five minutes? It’s important. I promise.” Tommy made sure to express just how serious this was while also not trying to make things seem weird or strange.

        ☆.   -   he held on to the wheel tight enough for his knuckles to be whiter than usually. fergal wasn’t sure what to EXPECT and it didn’t exactly help him that ashley seemed rather unbothered by the fact that he was going to meet her family for the first time today. she was humming away happily in the seat next to him, seemed to like the music that the radio was offering the two of them. the irish man, on the other hand, found himself NERVOUSLY rushing down the highway towards her hometown. 

        ☆.   -   shorty, he cleared his throat. ferg never took his eyes off the road. ❝ so...... are there topics i should not cut into when we have dinner later? you know....... politics or so. ❞ the brunette wanted to prepare. he wasn’t sure whether he would be working up the COURAGE to actually start a conversation with rick flair (holy fck he was going to have dinner with rick flair what the.....), but if he did feel like it he wanted to be prepared for it. fergal had fallen for ashley about half a year ago. he enjoyed the confidence on her, enjoyed how outgoing she was. it was impressive and he often wished there was more of that within him. but he found himself as a rather introvert person. so, meeting her family on new year’s eve was a nerve wrecking situation for him.

The fact Ashley was as nervous as she was at the moment, was so stupid, because she’d known Mercedes’ mom and brother for years, and hell, you could almost say Mercedes’ mom was like a second mother to Ashley, given how close she’d grown to the older woman over the years. That was the thing, however, she’d grown close to Mercedes’ family, because she’d been so close to Mercedes, as a friend, but this was the first time she’d be visiting everyone, as Mercedes’ girlfriend, and no matter how many times Mercedes told her everything was going to be fine, Ashley still couldn’t get those nervous butterflies out of her tummy. “I don’t know, Cedes. Maybe now isn’t the time to spring the news on everyone. I mean, it’s Christmas Eve, and we have kept our relationship on the low for so long now, what if everyone gets mad because we kept it to ourselves for so long? I just don’t want to risk ruining the holiday for your family.” 

"Would you calm down?” Mercedes asked and her voice was a little more stern than normal. Far from sounding mean but she wanted Ashley to understand that she was trying to be serious. “For one, you act like my family is huge. It’s literally just going to be the two of us, my mom and my brother. You know my brother and you know he’s the sweetest man on this planet and if you make me happy then he’ll be happy. And my mom? The same could be said about her. Religious or not, she’ll know you make me happy which is what counts but she might just be a little confused since she doesn’t know I’m bisexual.” she revealed and it’s not like it was something she tried to hide from her mother. It was just one of those things that had yet to come up. Her brother knew. He was well aware of that. Cedes looked down to the two gift bags she had held in each hand - each of them holding smaller presents in the bag that she had gotten for them over the last couple weeks during her travels from city to city. “Secondly, no one is forcing us to come out. If you wanna wait a little longer, baby, than just say so. I want to say something but I don’t wanna make you uncomfortable.”

     It had been a while since Nattie spent time with Ash outside of the ring, outside of        work in general actually. That didn’t change the fact that the younger blonde was        one of her favorite opponents, one of her closest friends and one of her favorite         people to be around. “Ewwww, you’re so ugly when you pout like that, saucy!”         she scrunched her face, knowing it wasn’t the first time Ashley used it to her         advantage, and it wouldn’t be the last. “Alright fine!
