Summary: Cat owner Soap and dog owner Ghost and how they get over their fear of eachother's pet.
Ghost doesn't really have it with cats and Soap doesn't really have it with dogs until they visit each others place and the cat and dog just request attention.
Ghosts dog is a gentle one, and helps Soap over his fear of the furry animals by gently licking his hand and sitting by his feet. Maybe one day he sits at the breakfast table with Ghost and the dog just lays her head on his lap for headpats.
Soap gives her careful pets while sitting down or standing up. But always keeps his head above the dog's just in case. After many visits he is grabbing something from a lower cabinet and the dog just sits behind him.
Soap is a bit nervous but since she doesn't really do anything he takes a leap of fate and pats her again, noticing how comforting it can actually be. He calls her then a good girl for the first time and finds it easier to get to her level and relax around her.
When ghost visits Soap's house he at first doesn't even know Soap has a cat. That is until he's sitting on the couch and the cat just makes Ghosts lap his new napping spot.
Ghost tenses, afraid that the furry little thing will lash out if he moves or digs it's nails into his chest or legs. None of that happens though. Soap picks up the little creature and puts it down on another chair, it's only protest is a low meow.
It happens a few times. Eventually ghost tries to nudge the cat a bit to get it off his lap. Instead of moving the little thing headbutts his hand in return and starts to spin loudly. Ghost actually tries to pet it and seeing how the little guy enjoys it he continues.
Eventually in another instance, the cat starts to make biscuits in his sweater. With a string of panicked "No"s Ghost grabs at his own sweater to make some space between the fabric and his chest. After a little while he gently nudges the little things paws to get him to stop.
Much to Ghosts surprise the cat moves it's paws and stops kneeding his sweater, instead it curls over to lay down in a different position on his lap and nap like that. Ghost realises the little thing is much easier to handle than he thought.
He still doesn't pick the cat up, but he does pat it and nudge it's little paws when it claws at his shirt of pants when it shouldn't. It never hurts, but it isn't good behavior. He eventually warms up to the little creature.
After many weeks the cat and dog meet over at Soap's place. Ghosts girl is very excited to look around, but when it sees the cat napping on the couch, it carefully sniffs at it. The cat doesn't move much, at one point nudges the dogs nose away with it's paw which makes the dog think the cat wants to play.
They become besties.
The dog gives the cat her ball and the cat, licks the dogs head. When ghost and Soap become more serious, they sleep in the same house a lot. It's almost a common occurrence now to find the cat asleep on the dogs back in the morning. Soap might not be a dog person and ghost might not be a cat person, but both owners and pets get along just fine.
Just want one of them to be an actor and fall in love with the other who's a production assistent on set.
Although I would love for Soap to be an actor, I think Actor Simon would work perfectly with the bubbly and social production assistent who's making small talk and handling things behind the scene.
Maybe a taxi cancels and PA Soap brings Actor Simon to his hotel. On the way they get talking and actually have a click. The next day during filming they keep sneaking glances to one another.
Soap finding excuses to talk with Simon by offering drinks and making the joke "You must be so thirsty after filming that long scene".
Just want Simon to return the innuendos and really enjoy spending time with Soap between scenes.
After their last day of filming they decide to grab coffee together and keep in contact outside of work. And they, of course, don't mind seeing each other on set again for another project.
Ghost and Soap alone on a mission, waiting for exfil to arrive. All they can do is sit and wait. And talk. "You ever think about the first day we met?" Soap asks from beside Ghost as they sit on the ground.
"It wasn't /that/ long ago." Ghost replies, staring ahead, still semi-alert just in case.
Soap hums. "A lot has happened in the mean time."
"That it has." It's quiet between them for a moment.
Then Soap speaks up again. "Remember Las Almas?" He asks. "And how you guided me through the city? If it wasn't for you, I would've be he-"
"-That's enough." Ghost interrupt. They don't talk about Las Almas, nor about what happened with Hassan by the window. It's a topic, Ghost rather not be reminded of.
Seeing Soap hurt, lost in a strange city, surrounded by hostiles is not a welcoming sight, nor is him almost being pushed out of a window at least twenty stories up.
"I never thanked you." Soap says and before ghost can say he doesn't have to, he continues. "So, thank you. For saving my life then and in Chicago. Also for every instance after that."
"Soap-"
"I'm happy it was you."
Ghost is left speechless. It's not like no one ever thanks him. His men clearly respect him. It's the smile and soft look in Soap's eyes that surprise him.
Soap then grins widely. "I'm also very happy to know you like me, Lt. Alive and as a friend."
"Alright, Johnny. That's enough." Ghost says, the exaggerated roll of his eyes even noticeable in his voice. He pats Soap twice on the shoulder before he gets up, signaling that the conversation is over.
Or at least on Soap's part. Simon doesn't look back as he says a "Youre welcome" under his breath. It's just loud enough for Soap to hear. Ghost walks away to get stand ready for exfil. He can't help but smile a little as he hears Soap jump up to his feet and jog after him.
While Ghosts cold heart already likes the idea of Soap being alive, his heart can certainly warm up to the idea of Soap being his friend.
Chapter 10 of my Kidnapped Soap story "Preferring the Ghost from my past" has been uploaded!
Summary: Soap is kidnapped while out on a mission and tortured over a prolonged period of time. How does he cope with the manipulations his captor has planned out for him and what will the members of task force 141 do when they are faced with the shell of the man they once knew?
I just want Ghost to lay down and take in an entire couch, Soap being a little shit and deciding he'll just lay on top of him, Gaz joining without a word and flopping backwards onto Soap and Ghost. Ghost groans from the bottom of the pile.
Price walks in, shakes his head, but secretly smiles seeing his boys all spending time together, getting comfy
I want GhostSoap confessions with only angst. I want one of them to get stuck under rubble, their weak voice saying I love you before they stop responding over comm.
I want one of them to have been shot, bleeding out in the other's arms. Confessing their love with the promise to grow old together, to watch each other six until they can retire only to break that promise with a final breath.
I want one of them to get hit by a bomb, leaving them flatlining in the dirt while the other performs CPR. Crying between each mouth to mouth action. Begging while they perform chess compressions. They hear the sickening crack of a rib only for their effort to have been futile.
I want them to confess their love right before a mission. I want that only one of them to returns with the only reminder of their love being a damaged dogtag and the pain of knowing all they could've been had things gone differently.
I want them to wake up with tears in their eyes and realise it was just a dream. I want Simon to cry in what must've been years and I want Johnny to laugh through tears, relieved beyond words that they still have each other.
I want them to kiss and cuddle before they dream of much nicer things while basking in the love and warmth they share...
