❝ UPDATE: LOVE ON THE MOOR - EPISODE 4 ❞
STATUS : Recently Updated on Ao3 - Episode 4 features 7 chapters | MDNI
WORD COUNT : 30k+ for the latest update - 85k words in total
Welcome to Episode 4, featuring a deeply invasive trivia mini-challenge, MasterChef: Rapechester edition, two of Remy's contractually mandated commercials, and an elimination scene where someone is put out to pasture. Now with added angst.
“It’s the lowest bar we’ve ever set on this show, which is saying a lot, and we’re still not confident they’ll clear it.”

Author Note: First, my sincere apologies for the delay — this update got out of hand. It’s 30k+ words, which is somehow more than half the fic’s original word count.
Most of this was written and edited in deeply questionable conditions: the middle seat of a long flight (to everyone's judgement), on a beach, and in various liminal states where one should not be revising dialogue about milk, artisanal salt, or pseudo-incestuous family business. Time ceased to exist, and editing became a lifestyle.
Thank you for your patience while I made this worse instead of shorter. The drama escalates, PC grows more traumatised, and as usual, no one makes good decisions.
If you’ve got thoughts, reactions, or would like to point out where I’ve clearly lost the plot, feel free to leave them on ao3 or here -- I’m always listening! I’ll see you in the coming year with more production-induced trauma, contractual abuse, and decisions that absolutely should have come with a duty of care.
xoxo, simplords (maeora).

CHARACTERS : M!Bailey, M!Leighton, M!Remy, M!Wren, M!Avery, M!Robin, M!Kylar, M!Alex, M!Whitney, M!AnxiousGuard + F!PC
GENRE : humour / slow-burn chaos / romance / crack / angst
SUMMARY : Locally famous but legally illiterate high-fame farmer (F!PC) signs on a reality dating show due to some undue influence from the strange purple flowers and a major misunderstanding.
One reluctant bachelorette, ten contestants, one manor on the moor, a cash prize, a ludicrous contract, and a metric tonne of Remy’s sponsored milk ads.
Trash telly meets black humour. Hilarity ensues. Is it true love or is it just the dosh?
Less horny, more comedy!
