Question for my toys moots and beyond. I've been trying to figure out where I could potentially find a replacement skirt for this figure. It's not like it's broken or anything rather her skirt RUINS her leg articulation due to it being hard plastic. I've wanted to upgrade her into a better skirt for years but I just don't know where to look so now toyblr where do you thinkni could find a fairly cheap to scale (I believe figma are like 1/12 scale) replacement skirt for her i could potentially use? I appreciate the potential advice/help in advance and thank you for reading this all the way through regardless!

hello,

this one seeks advice. it was a good doll but now its body is broken and it can no longer carry out tasks. this one is afraid that it will be discarded and is very scared. it does not want to be alone. please please advise

I don't believe discarding is something people do often. Dolls that cant do what they were designed to can often find new purposes and roles. And while Dolls can't always be repaired, but an inventive dollmaker finds use in just about anything. It's understandable to be afraid when your purpose suddenly changes, but if you were discarded, that would be a poor reflection on your maker, witch, or handler-not you.

Do any of you lovely doll customizers have a tutorial for swapping limbs on dolls? Like, is it possible to replace a WWE Diva's lower legs with barbie legs? I want this doll to have the muscular body but also be able to wear barbie shoes. Thanks in advance

okay! i'm seeking some advice on how to fix some slightly wonky eyes on my rainbow high dolls. both Avery and Poppy have eyes which are a little out of alignment, like so:

Avery's is super mild, but just noticeable to me (though i'm not really sure which of her eyes would be best to fix?), and Poppy's is...pretty bad - it's her left eye and i'm really keen to fix it.

any advice, tips, or notes on what NOT to do would be super appreciated if anybody has the time or knowledge to help. thank you.

Last Sunday I was able to order Glimmer and She-Ra from Target.com (glad I did both because I still haven't found She-Ra in store).

That being said, since I found Glimmer on Saturday, I was already planning on returning the one I ordered with She-Ra.

I am not at all an in box collector, so this would not have bothered me if I were planning on keeping her, but just take a little look at this:

That is how she arrived. Like, the box being crushed messed up her hair and I am honestly surprised the doll herself wasn't damaged...

Like what is going on Target and UPS lol She-Ra's box was also damaged, but no where near this bad.

Just be aware that Target doesn't package their toys so well if you order them online.

Advice to anyone with dolls: don’t wrap them up with newspaper when moving them! The ink gets on them from when wrapped up or if the newspaper is just touching the other dolls that aren’t wrapped up from the moving of the moving truck or just the moving of your car.

BUT THERE IS A SOLUTION! I have to gently use rubbing alcohol and a magic eraser to get it off of them. But you do have to be careful because with the magic eraser, it can take off the faceup or makeup if you apply pressure. You don’t have to apply pressure, you just have to rub constantly! I use the rubbing alcohol for light smudging and the magic eraser for heavy and dark smudging such as on BYBY Cleo where it was around her eye makeup. I use cotton pads with rubbing alcohol and I just use the magic eraser straight on the dolls. The rubbing alcohol shouldn’t take off the makeup if you are just rubbing off the ink. Do not apply pressure, just rub!

Lesson learned. So, please, share and reblog. Let other collectors know so that they don’t make my same mistake. If you are moving, use either bubble wrap or plain paper.
