@rom-e-o So I went over and found the dolls at my grandma's yesterday. Brought things home to clean them up and thought you'd like to see some of the clothes.

We'll start with the Velvet doll first. The doll herself is waiting to be washed and have her hair combed out, but the clothes are clean now!🤗

I believe my grandma made this first one.

And this lovely little cloak, which is more wine red in person.

City Style Barbie 2004! The photo with her in box is not mine, but stolen from Google.

Named her Kitty because her expression and hair color remind me of Kitty Softpaws.

Been a while since I posted stuff I've actually made. I keep forgetting to take pictures.

Anyway, the pattern for the bunny and her outfits come from Little Cotton Rabbits on ravelry. The sleigh was purchased from Target and I painted it/added the felt. This was all for a coworker of my mom's who's been working from home all year. Just a little pick-me-up for making it thru 2021.

Today’s #Daisies and Daffodolls prompt is all about spring fashion, so I decided to show off the three spring outfits that I’ve made for my dolls: especially since Kirsten’s birthday dress was one of the first that I made when getting back into AG as an adult, and Alex’s and Holly’s are the two most recent projects I have finished!

Kirsten: Her pink birthday dress and white apron, made from an old Pleasant Company pattern (fabric not an exact match for the original in either case, but I don’t mind), as well as a light underskirt and a pair of red boots I bought her to match the illustrations from her book.

Alex: Blue polka-dotted tank top with lace trim and matching headband, and denim capris with lace on the cuffs—shoes from the Skateboarding outfit I got her years ago.

Holly: Reversible halter-top and mock-wrap skirt. Barefoot because good lord I need to get some decent shoes for my girls…

I love Caroline’s dresses, but she hardly has any to wear. Here are two I finished this week, based on gowns that were illustrated but never produced by American Girl. 

The lavender work dress with a bib front was seen on the cover of her fourth book, Caroline Takes a Chance. I know the color isn’t the best match but I think the print is. It’s a reproduction of a fabric produced in 1830. I put tiny buttons on the bib and some burgundy ribbon. I modified a Felicity dress pattern to give this a high waist and long sleeves. 

Her rosebud-print cool cotton dress was only illustrated in Caroline’s paper dolls. This is also a modified Felicity pattern that I changed to give it a crisscross bodice, with delicate ruffles at the neckline and at the puffed sleeves. I also made her this little round-eared cap based on the old Pleasant Company patterns for Felicity.
