Au time, Mirabel's gift is she can bring things she makes to life. Like as soon as she touched her doorknob, her plushie that she made immediately come to life and starts to move around to look for Mirabel.

That’s so cute 😭 little stuffed toys and animals running around, helping. You think she would’ve experimented and made a really big one (like those massive human sized bears; I have one 😭) and that just came to live. Kinda like a second Luisa, but not nearly as strong.

Did you already figure out 100% how Anti's magic to make his dolls work? Because the part about his sadness fueling that process made me really curious about it?? Also, how much of it affect the doll's personality? Because I have a strange feeling that Chase might have been created with some of Anti's fear of losing his other dolls and being alone, so that why he's so clingy and anxious/emotional? It's more of a theory though...

i have not yet figured out 100% of what antis magic can do, since the au is still new. i expect some changes and lots of additions in the future ! however yes, something that will stay definitely is his sadness fueling the doll making process, in fact all of the dolls were made when anti was feeling such an overwhelming amount of emotion he didn’t know what to do or how to deal, so he made a doll. a friend, something else to hold onto.

and your theory for chase is almost completely correct, nice job! anti actually made chase when he was incredibly sad, like, he was sobbing his eyes out through the whole process of making chase. he missed his old human friends, he missed a home he never had. he was extremely lonely and wanted people to love and show him love, and a TON of it bled through to the doll bc he was feeling it so strong.

so, chase came out a crybaby, very clingy and needing affection, scared of everything and always always trying to make people happy. chase’s emotions are the most sensitive out of the whole group, and he did develop his own personality traits like the other egos, (example, the amount of pure love and warmth he holds is all his own) but those ones are the ones that show the most since it’s why he was made in the first place. panic, and pure, overwhelming loneliness and sadness. yay doll chase! what a babey he is :D

David smiled longingly as he painted the last of the features on the doll. He’d spent three hours on the phone this afternoon, arguing with his benefactor about this doll and wishing he could keep it. They’d told him no despite his wishes and please, and he’d have to ship it out in the morning. He sighed, stroking a hand over the doll’s hair before settling it into the box and closing the lid.

He’d look it over one last time to make sure nothing had smeared or shifted overnight, then ship it off. Until then, he had one last night to pretend it was his.
