This is a what if scenario if Circe and Regulus had children.
I was inspired by the fairy theme I got going with @fallesto at the moment, plus the anime style of the faces and hairstyle is very close to the ones in Re:zero. I decided to create twin siblings.
The twins:
Name: Narkissos
Sex: I don't know? Intersex perhaps?
Gender identity: Gender fluid, uses they them mostly but goes by anything
Age: Let's go for...ancient for now xD
Powers/abilities:
I imagine their powers could be connected to mirrors/reflections or copies of themself which they summon from the mirror. Narkissos can summon their sibling Echo and show what other people mostly desire with the mirror.
Personality:
Self absorbed, oblivious, dislikes people, takes after his father...a lot. Dislikes crowds and loud noises. Likes art, architecture and drawing. Likes to dress up. Likes to spend time with Regulus and fears Echo's intense obsession of them.
Name: Echo
Sex: Female
Gender identity: Woman. She/her.
Age: Ancient, younger twin
Power/abilities:
Turning invisible. Spreading her voice to different places with the mirror. Imitating voices or stealing them from others. She can summon Narkissos with her mirror as well. Together with her echoing voice and the mirror she can lure people to do her bidding.
Personality:
Loud, attention seeking and clingy. Dislikes being alone. Fear of being forgotten and abandoned. She likes theater, singing and dress up. Echo adores Narkissos and takes after them to an unhealthy degree, to the point of mimicking their behavior and dressing like them. They prefer Circe rather than Regulus.
Names:
Regarding names I considered using something from Shakespeare and really liked Desdemona but I couldn't figure out how the character should connect with either of the characters I created in the dollgame. Desdemona from what I gather was born into a rich family and fell in love with the character Othello. She got together with him and then he killed her. From the brief descriptions I read she was pretty submissive after rebelling against her father.
I also considered looking at fairy names but decided to look at some Greek characters instead. At first I was thinking of Iris but felt like none of the characters I made connected well with the rainbow deity.
Then I was reminded of the old tale of Echo and Narkissos. One version mention Echo being punished by Hera to only repeat what other people said, the reasoning was that Hera's husband Zeus enjoyed the company of nymphs and Echo had used her voice to distract the Goddess from finding him. Narkissos was a beautiful young man who was adored by most, included Echo but after being cursed by Hera she was unable to tell him what she truly felt. Echo couldn't properly interact with him and had no way of saving him from drowning as he made an attempt to kiss his own reflection. The sorrow of his death made her beauty fade until she became nothing but a voice
Another version mention Echo being rejected by Narkissos and out of deep sorrow she faded into a voice that only repeated the words of others.
Final thoughts:
I wasn't sure if I should make the twins have some resemblence of Circe or be carbon copies of either parent. I'm not even sure if Regulus has the ability to reproduce or if this would be a magical babies created from Regulus essence. There could also be an adoption situation. In the end I did them as small semi copies of Regulus that reflect some parts of his personality but I think it would be cute to have some kid resembling Circe too.
