wintery xmas tribble? rabbit? -- thrift trip with @etooz, part 7/7 -- May 1, 2026; Goodwill, Ellsworth, Maine

This was on the bottom shelf in the home decor. It seemed hollow, so not suitable as a door stop. It's just this lump covered in faux fur. The "ears" springs of faux foliage with an icy winter effect on them. The bright green fabric on the bottom was def a surprise. It didn't seem handmade, either?

It was strangely endearing. If it was more cuddly, I would've taken it home. Obviously, I'd name it "Snowball".

I was thinking of making a 1-6 figure with @archiemcphee‘s handisquirrel to make a larger Maggie Squirrel, but it looks like someone had the idea, too! They used the handipug head for their figure, recreating Rosco Pug.

Dragon plush - thrift trip with @etooz - part 2/7 -- May 1, 2026; Goodwill, Ellsworth, Maine

From recent talks with a friend, I started taking note of any dragons I encounter. I almost got the first one but decided against it. The last one is huge, though it might be a dinosaur instead of a dragon. I think it was like $30? Seeing it from across the store was an absolute delight!

Craft room pics, from Jan 2020

I don't know how many of these I shared earlier. Some have text, but many more don't. The room looks mostly the same, as depression hit me hard around this time, and I haven't revisited my dolls much.

The plush are from my great-aunt's house, taken home after she passed in 2019. The Glinda and angel Barbie (and other things in that box) are from @sycamore.

The highlight is Wren (Tonner Antoinette mannequin), painted by @dolljunk.

2025 Holiday Ken?!

I am very out of the loop, so I had no idea they were making a Holiday Ken doll. Looks like he uses the male Model Muse body, so he hast a head that tilts. (Made sure to get a shot of the neck area, as best I could.)

I photographed two different blond Kens, and they seem a bit different. My pics were quick, so I'm not sure if this odd one is a honey blond or it's just odd lighting. The rest were more of a platinum time and matched the photo on the back.

They didn't have the Hispanic(?) and Asian Kens, just as they didn't have the Hispanic and Asian Barbies from this line. But I live in rural Maine, and they don't have a huge variety of things at this store, regardless of department.

Last note is that the jacket doesn't have a proper closure. It's just held by a tiny plastic barb. Really stupid for a $30+ "collector" doll.

I'm not entirely sold on this hairstyle either, but I appreciate the rooted hair.

Mini Fashion Brands by Zuru -- September 23, 2025

After seeing @sleepytoycollection's Centaurbie wearing cool sneakers, I decided to try my luck. Second set I opened was the sneakers!

The ankle strap on the blue heels probably won't fit anyone, and I can't even get it through the buckle. The cat doesn't appeal to me, but the turning head is neat.

As before, I love the details and quality, aside from the use of pleather. It's just going to fall apart in a few years, sadly. At least the bucket purse has a regular structure underneath.

Edited to add: As I was about to throw away the packaging, I found a pair of sunglasses! They were part of the sandals set.

Wampus, my dinner companion - Jan 23, 2025

Sleepy baby settled down while I was eating. She's fighting so hard to keep her eyes open.

Y'know, she and Moscow will be 11 years old in March. Wampus has def settled down over the years. She can still be a terror sometimes, but she will also seem very spaced out, like she is in the middle of a brain fart.

I love my cats, my pretty calendar girls.
