After so many years I'm finally reattempting to finish my lovecraftian-ish Joker doll. Well, finish is a wrong word, I've barely started working on the body and I have to make the head, accessories, and maybe clothes? Although clothes are only optional. He's an eldritch clown creature after all, he doesn't need them.

A silly but fun little hybrid: a Fisher-Price Beatbelle Mini head on a NaNaNa Surprise body.

I found the Beatbelle at a thrift store and thought her head was just charming. The robot look, the colors, the expression? Adorable.

The head was just two halves of a hollow square that screwed together. To make neck articulation, I securely glued some spare Lego Bionicle parts in the back of the head. Then I cut off the top of the Nanana's neck and pried out the spring, leaving a perfect place to insert the axle Lego piece. Then I just had to glue that in, too.

Now her head can turn and tilt!

Finally, the paint was pretty scuffed up, so I touched it up and added a couple new details.

I just think the end result is so cute!

So this is my first doll repaint.....i kept most of the original parts of the doll except for her hairstyle and her face up and skin color.

But i made the dress myself and added horns and a red dot to her head. Please tell me what you guys think. Please go easy on me since this my first time doll repainting and if you have any tips for doll repainting please share.

I've decided to call her sakura and she is a oni.
