But seriously these feel like such a spiritual successor to what RH used to be. It seems not everyone likes them from what I'm seeing online, but I'm enamored. I can't wait to see them on shelves.

Got the Boo-tique Hotel when it was on sale for $40 and I finally got around to unboxing and building it....

The sign's sticker came upside-down.

Not sure if I'm more amused or annoyed by this detail.

((I also got one for my niece's 7th birthday, she was super excited for it. She's been asking for a doll house for her Monster High dolls for a while but they're so expensive I always would tell her that it was something to ask her parents or Santa for, so she was extra surprised when I gave her this one. (yay big sales!) I built it for her and set it up in her bedroom with all her dolls/doll accessories as a surprise. (I did forget to take pics) Her sign was not upside-down. I'm glad she got the one without sign wonk.))

Anyway, I have this now so I can set up cute scenes with my dolls. Expect pictures of it! I have a few pics to share already, nothing big, just using a couple dolls that were already laying out on my desk to scratch the itch. The room I plan to set up the hotel in is "under construction" as it were so it's being kept folded up and tucked out of the way for the most part until we finish up redoing that room.

Genuine Question, I wonder how many people get Gaslit by the photos like this from posts on Barbie and/or Mattel's Social Media Pages into thinking Current Era Barbie dolls are this high quality looking and fashionable?

i'm not even opposed to the larger sized '1/3rd scale' bjds, 75cm boys and 65-68cm girls would be/is actually a much easier scale to sew for etc. however, so many more companies keep putting out these massive, bulky 75cm+ guys, with no girl dolls in the same scale. Also the "scale" they're using for the guys is bizarre. The necks are too big/long and their heads are too small and the torso shape is just weird.

weird torsos are something you can work around with clothes and shooting angles, though. the pin-headed jawlessness isn't 😭
