The Swan witch is trading her feathers for buttons as she is bestowed the temporary title and powers of The Doll Witch for this year. I'm going to be honest, I was not happy with how the background turned out at first, so I spent a long time trying to fix it in post. I wanted to make my witch feel like a doll without putting a lot patches on her like the original Doll Witch. I based her outfit on old fashioned dolls and for a bonus I also put make up on her cheeks resembling the circles you see on the faces of those type of dolls. The doll she is holding is dressed up as who she really is, The Swan Witch.

So the whole thing that I kinda made up for them on the fly is that the doll lady is some sort of witch or demon that you summon when you kinda dont want to live your life specifically and want someone else to live it for you, so you can start over, if that makes sense? But if you sign the contract she gives you, rather than giving you a new life to live, the witch then takes your soul and controls your body herself, living in your stead. I was also thinking that perhaps the witch was the one who gave the girl the tome in the first place, just through another one of her victims..? Anyways, moral of the story, read the fine print folks lol

Day 16: Phoenix + Doll/Mannequin Witch 💅🏻💄🎀

The thing about a doll is, it’s easy to change parts. You can replace the things you don’t want and well… You can be reborn like a phoenix everyday.

Instead of potions, this witch makes new body parts that she can use whenever she wants. The only problem is, sometimes she has issues remembering who she is!
