I have an au called dollarstuck and it is horrible and i love it. If you think Mr. Warosa is bad, you will cry at Jad.e[sic].
I will reveal story stuff and character purposes IF at least one person expresses mild interest, but mostly its like.. a kind of swapstuck kind of thing? It is great, though, and extends far beyond that.
For example: In this AU John has the 'stupidity' people kept seeing jade as having very early on in the comic, but a little beyond that as well, as he is both socially and technologically inept, and with no one willing to reach out and help when he's stuck in the sand, eventually, he sinks, getting a computer virus, and physical virus, from an experimental crockercorp ad testing the abilities of manipulation through They Live style bullshittery, which leads to john, in a similar vain to eridan, falling back onto the functionings of a toxic system in a subtle way (in this case, american capitalism, not plain racism/hemoism) as Barosa (which is his real name) and full blown desperate greedster scambot as Warosa. It is.. Awesome, I think? I love my silly guy. Both sides are to show the same thing; how alienation can impact people, and the ways it can push them to harmful but packaged-as-simple-as-can-be ideologies if the necessary help isn't thrown their way.
Yes it *is* an allegory for ND people, particularly young men, and why, so often, many who were labelled as 'stupid', are pushed towards right leaning and alt right ideologies. I am happy with this and love Jad.e too and theyre all my babies. I do not have trolls yet, and I actually simply don't plan to involve them.
There is no sburb in this au, which will becoming prevalent when we get to the questionably strilondes, who no longer have any of the themes around being heroic as strong within their characters as in canon.

But what even IS DollarStuck?

Well, $AU is a project covering all sorts of things, but at its core, is about World Building, structure, and making stories based around the former to strengthen a (differing from the usual (as far as i am aware) form of the latter.
It is meant to expand on the concepts within Homestuck in a way that allows for anyone to find just about everything and anything they need to have a foundation to build their own story upon that isn't as rickety as the, albeit effective to its own story and purposes, world building of Homestuck, as well as simply facilitating the artistic projects of whoever wants or needs it to develop the concepts even further.
It's planned to both encourage new creators to come forward by lowering the bar of entry that is trying to figure out unique details of a lore only meant to serve the one story to make it fit their own, and push existing ones up with additional resources to pull ideas from and add their own ideas too!
Technically, you don't even really need to join the team for this either, as we want to also take user input on every front for new information that could be applied to the canon!
Basically! You just being present alone, if the project interests you outside of directly working on it, also does help a great bit!!!
The thing is though, to advertise these new concepts and ideas, there are stories being developed to both encourage creation on your end, and even just general consumption to popularize the idea in the first place. For this, we need to build a team of people who can help in the creation of these stories!
