My work in progress Xinyiwawa 12″ fashion doll body. I removed the nips, because I didn’t like the placement. I sculpted my own, because I am weird. I have little MSC left, as I mentioned when I posted my Barbie Fashionista repaint a few weeks ago. I did order a few more, which I am hoping will get here by Thursday.
I still have enough to blush the torso, hands and feet on this body. So that’s where I focused the light spraying of fixative. I haven’t sealed him yet, I just wanted to see how dark I wanted his body blushing to be, so I took these. I usually love blushing stuff, so I tend to over do it. Despite loving very heavily stylized body blushing on art dolls, and other dolls in general. I prefer more subtle blushing on my own dolls. Having said that, I struggle to stop, because I love the blushing process so much. That’s why I took a slew of photos, I wanted to make sure I could see how dark it is, as he’s super light and the light makes it a pain in the gut to photograph (plus these are crappy cellphone photos). DX
I will leave the body as is for now, and wait for my extra cans of MSC to arrive, to seal him, and then decide if I want to add more. I still need to add white acrylic lines on his fingernails and toes. I always leave those for last, and I might add a few more veins, I think they are not even noticeable anywhere, but I did do a few all over, particularly around the hip area. I was thinking about sanding the undies off, but then I got lazy. I really regret not sanding the seams smooth however, I thought they didn’t look too terrible, but they kind of do under super bright LED light (which is what I use to take photos and do custom toy work).
