I Wonder If The Gun Crowd Realise .......

....That Under The Upcoming Single Party System after the still active coup, they will not have the leverage to influence the government to uphold their right to bear "arms" that they regard as being all military grade guns?

Also their stupid self-styled unregulated "militias" will probably be made illegal, because they represent a threat to a provably corrupt government, which can easily pass a law making the "well regulated militias" mean that the regulation will be enforced to fit the goals of people like Mitch McConnell.

Likewise the last organisation that a corrupt government would want around would be the NRA.

Easy to get rid of when the government has no opposition by law.

Also, the bribes to politicians will change course. Many bribers that are called "lobbyists" will have no jobs, because the corrupt government will be doing what the corporations want, because the politicians themselves will be simply removed if the corporate decision makers desire them to be out of the way.

As there will be suppression of free speech then such actions will not become large issues.

So, the whole shitshow of the coming coup might backfire on the perpetrators.

The Regime that runs the USA will be a small group sitting in the White House and able to pass or reject laws at their whim, to jail people with only mock trials, to execute their perceived enemies, that will not just be the current liberals, but also those of the right wing who fail to make the approval of the Regime.

Guns might be totally banned using incremental methods, because an armed population is a threat to any autocracy.

The State governments will be put under the control of the Federal Government, because they too will represent a threat to the Regime.

Might be fun to watch.

And it might all be done as a slow incremental process such as the one that eroded the strength of the Trade Unions.

Guys like Gym Jordan will disappear from public life, as they will be jailed or executed quietly, or have "accidents" causing their demise.

This might work out better for the USA .

Not as good as democratic freedom, but by eliminating the troublemakers on both sides, not just the left wing, reducing the power of bribing by using authoritarianism.

Yup, good job, coup people, you'll get the country, but can you in the longterm run it?
