Mad Easter tea-party :)
Looking through my drafts and I found this picture of Floran x3 It’s really not a masterpiece but it’s not the worst either. I’m just not much of a fan of this color combination xDD Anyway, I think it fits this Spring season
It's time for a official welcome. :) Meet Anis (he/him), my lanky blue boy. He's proof that I can finish projects even if it does take me almost a decade! :D
I sent Saffran to greet him because that integrated Muskat like a charm, and because she's the senior doll around here. She's been with me the longest - though I've had the Dollzone Ivan sculpt almost as long!
Her first impression:
Impractically tall. 🤨
It's mostly legs, and way better when they're sitting down. (Though she's still sitting on her foot here :D)
Remember when I said he's my last unfinished doll? That might have been hasty. :) But he's been my longest running doll WIP and I am extatic.
New doll means figuring out new angles! The light helps, too. Dyed dolls tend to look great in sunlight I've found - though maybe because I like to dye dark :D
The sculpt is extremely weird, too - it looked stupid literally ALL the time I've been working on him. I'd finished the body blush and was still on the fence about it. And then, during the face-up, there came a light switch moment, and suddenly it was the loveliest thing on earth. I look at him and get so much personality, almost like with Saffran.
I got a lot of good advice on making short wigs a while back, but glueing hair stresses me so I'm glad I had something to adapt.
Doll haircuts are scarily final but I turned to Brad Mondo once again and I think I kinda hit it? It's good enough for now anyway. :)
Anis working his new top ;)
It's always tea time at the Rabbit Hole Detective Agency.
