thoughts on the push

a fight against plague has been a dream of mine ever since i joined fr, one of those far off things you think would be cool but would never happen. but last week we did and it was like everything i imagined. intense, fun, (time consuming, expensive)

i want to congratulate plague on winning and thank them for putting up such a good fight. you guys made my dream come true

though we didnt win, i want everybody in arcane to know that i am so, SO proud of us and how far weve come. im pretty sure if i told people a year ago i wanted us to fight plague id wouldve been laughed off the forums. but we too also put up an insanely good fight — we held first for nearly 6 days! and even at the end we were constantly flipping which means we were super close behind plague

i know it sucks to have invested so much time, energy, and effort into a fight and not win (pats to that one person on frd), but please remember that these are just pixel dragon games and not worth the stress and unhappiness of dwelling over the loss. instead focus on how much weve done to get to where we are now, and where we can go from here. im sure we will only continue to improve and become stronger. gone are the days when arcane is the flight that is ‘bad at dom.’ that old guide can go die in the endless depths of the forums

cmon yall, we made history last week! a battle that intense? a fodder floor that high? the board flipping that much? for arcanists sake we broke the entire auction house!

id like to give a shoutout to our amazing dom team and all the people who kept the bank and raffle running so smoothly, vain, aeh, pheo, arga, kels, rula, all the oofr/pb attendants. i dont know where wed be without you all
